A more plausible relief to candidates seems to be qualifying rather than normalization. Many people complain that making it qualifying will increase the cutoff. Can anyone explain the rationale? My limited understand on this matter is cutoff will be decided like it's done always, the difference will be only that marks won't be counted. Can anyone explain the link between qualifying and increase in cutoff.? Thanks.
Those who are against making Tier-1 qualifying, please file grievances in large numbers. SSC is about to decide on this matter after meeting with DOPT, so please be active and just spend 5 minutes to file grievance.
