My essay on "Importance of Education in the present time"
Education is the noble virture that has been transcending from generations to generations. It is the cornerstone of development and prosperity of an individual as well as a nation.
However it is unfortunate that it has been the most neglected of all. The budget allocation for education has been a mere 3% of our GDP which is far lesser than that of some African countries, according to a UN report. Primary education is neglected the most because of the prevalence of social evils like child labour and child marriage. Lack of proper infrastructure adds to the woes.
The importance of education cannot be iterated enough. Starting from a pen to the most advanced satellite like Chandrayaan-II, education is behind all the inventions and discoveries.
Governments too have realised the paramount importance of education in nation building. Schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao which aims to save and empower the girl child, Mid Day Meal Scheme, which aims to enhace enrollment and retention in schools along with proper nutrition and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan are some of the direct intervention initiatives of the government in this direction.
Ultimately, collaborative efforts of the government coupled with attitudinal change in the society will lead to greater realization of the importance of education. Education is the key for India's Golden Sunrise. "Education for all" is not only the slogan but also the new national movement of the 21st century.

In the aforesaid poem, Tagore envisages a nation-our nation India where there is freedom of thought, freedom from fear and a mind that can attain excellece for the nation to elevate to greater heights.
Education is the means to achieve the ends that Tagore defined.
Education here is not limited to literacy, for over 80% of the population is already literate. Am educated mind is that which is Engendered with scientific temper and rationality. In it, values of equality, fraternity, liberty and justice as enshrined in the contitutio reside.
Such a mind respecting the dialogue heritage of India will seek resolution through reason and ideas. This will serve as a solution to the terrorism and violence that plagued the society.
With her reason and problem solving skills, an educated women will innovate leading to creation of new jobs and opportunities -leading to a solution to unemployment.
Acknowledging it’s importance and significance the government has taken a slew of measure to promote education such as RTE, Beti Bachan Beti PADHAO. The Kasturirangan committee has recommended measures to enhance educational infrastructure by enhancing teacher student ratio and early childhood Education.
Education is the panacea for all evils that grip our society-poverty, climate change, inequity and injustice. Thus, it should be the endeavour of each citizen to educate every young child for -‘He/She shall Overcome’
I am sorry for posting this again. Just extremely worried. Will move on to 2019 prep after this. I wrote a few other things that I can not seem to recollect.
