With my experience I have noticed people who generally do well in exams keep their mouth shut till the time results are declared. They keep their head down and word hard. 1.Abrogation of Article 370
On 6th August 2019, President Ram Nath Kovind issued the order for scrapping of Article 370 which provided special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.Article 370 was added to Indian Constitution under part xxi which granted temporary, transitional and special provisions to Jammu and Kashmir. These special provisions included that Indian govenment cannot take decisions on matters other than Defence, foreign affairs and communication. If the government want to take decisions on any other matter then they need to seek approval of State Legislature. It also included that people from other parts of India cannot buy a land or marry a Kashmiri girl.
Abrogation of article 370 was also followed with the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into union territory of Ladhak and union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. This will help in the development and more efficient administration of the two regions. It will also help in tackling the terrorism. It will bring employment with the setting of new industries in the region. Tourism will flourish thereby boosting the economy. New laws related to women empowerment and Child marriages could be made which was not possible earlier.
Removal of article 370 has some negative sides as well like the people of the state considers that their opinion was not taken while taking such step. They feel that it is against the fundamental principles of democracy. Settlers from other parts of India may disturb the demographies of the region. Youngster can be influenced by Separatists by motivating them to act against government.
Abrogation of article 370 would help in integrating Kashmir with the rest of India provided the people of Jammu and Kashmir feel safe and secure. This can only be achieved by conducting elections as soon as possible to win the trust of the people by making them believe that they can choose their own leader. Government should ensure that the new laws and policies are implemented efficiently to boost the economy of the region. Also, government should keep in mind the ecological diversity of Leh and Ladakh while planning for infrastructure projects in the region.
