The following notification pertains to the proposed amendments in the recruitment rules for the post of Assistant accounts officer and Assistant Audit Officer.
On page number 3(column 7) in this notice , under the sub heading- "Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits, " the following amendment is proposed " "Language proficiency for the language specified, and at the level as prescribed and to be tested, for the State in which the vacancies exist and recruitment is to take place, in the office of State Accountants General."
Such an amendment would warrant the candidates to give an examination of local language ( language selected by candidates before the appointment ) through ssc.
Such an amendment would prove to be catastrophic for those regions where the number of selected aspirants are usually much higher than the number of seats in those regions. This would impact merit based selection on All India basis.
There have been rulings of supreme court that selection should be made on All India merit basis . It is there by requested that the fellow aspirants send their comments to the address given in Notice (or through e-mail--
[email protected] )and send their feedback against such an amendment before last date- 21-June-2019.
