Some of you are saying to ask me about vacancy I asked him about vacancy he said this time speculation are high and vacancy will cross even 30K+. From this year one more new post is coming like the last year AAO. One more thing I forgot to tell you last time that your tier 1 score card is used by various government ministries for the recruitment like the PSUs do in GATE. So guys this time CGL tier1 open the door of more than 50000 vacancy.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI, through its letter dated 07.02.2017 has referred to DoPT, GOI, dated 25.01.2017 which states that of present candidates seeking government jobs have to appear for different examinations where similar eligibility conditions have been prescribed. The multiple recruitment examinations not only burden the candidates but also result in avoidable expenditure in conducting of these examinations by various recruitment agencies. Government is now proposing to introduce common eligibility and to shortlist the candidates for vacancies of Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted and below posts through computer based online mode test for Tier-1 Examination to be conducted by a multi agency body. There will be common registrations of candidates through National Career Service (NCS) portal. There would be separate common examinations for graduates, 12th pass and 10th pass candidates. The scores obtained by the candidates shall be available to the candidates and individual recruitment agencies. The Tier-1 score shall be valid for one year from date of declaration of the result. Candidates can thereafter apply to various recruitment agencies for appearing in Tier-II examinations. Final selection will be made through specialised Tier-II examination to be conducted by individual recruitment agencies. This would result in savings to the candidates and the Government but also compress the duration of the selection process by half. The MHA has sought details in prescribed format (reproduced below) in respect of all Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted) and below level posts, wherever there is adherence of direct recruitment and direct recruitment is not through the SSC/UPSC.

According to my cousin who works in SSC NR. Regarding exam date as nothing as such officially planned by SSC for cgl 2017 but the exam is expected in the month of August not before than that.

I wanted to have an understanding of the various jobs available under the banner of ssc. I have also heard that there are different domains in ssc (one of them cgl). SO, could someone here provide me any apt link where I can get the clear understanding of the jobs, the best job for someone intending relaxed work-life in metro with decent salary, the exam needed to be cleared, etc etc.

You all have certain confusion like NCS coming in SSC. Regarding this as I have told you earlier that NCS is going to be more or less similar to be like GATE exam. Various government ministries also tie up with this like the PSUs do in GATE. The marks secured by you in tier1 will be used by various minsitries for recruitment other than that which is at present comes under SSC. like MHA,IB,Income Tax and various others. Regarding exam NCS role will be limited to management of your form, notification etc they will not conduct your exam. As you know various govt ministries other than SSC recruits on regular basis and conducts their own exam whose pattern are almost similar to tier1 of SSC now such ministries will not conduct any exam and use the ssc score card for recruitment. There is nothing as such any changed in tier 2 and it will remain the same only tier 1 is going to be combined. The purpose of introducing NCS is not to limit the opportunity but to generate the opportunity
