Some miscreants who are most probably into CGL 18 are spreading fake information that vacancies are locked/freezed etc. There is nothing as such and CGL 17,18 are independent entities and have not interlink. Coming to the chances of vacancy increase, the following departments may increase vacancy/already increased but not updated by SSC. CBDT, CBIC(Chennai, Kolkata, Vadodara), ED, CBI.
