Even after 70 years of independence there has been rampant corruption in indian Bureaucracy that has affected development of India. Tehe recent Coal allocation scam,2g scam, Common wealth are recnt examples .There bodies like CBI and CVC have not been that effective as was sighted during there formation .Sighting this there raised a voice regarding formation of lokayukts and lokpal.
The lokayukt act 2013 has been passed and sc has manded that its workable in current form. The lokpal will consist of a chairman and 8 other members . These people will be selcted by a committee of PM,CJI,Emminent jurist appointed by president ,leader of opposition .
The lokpal will have various powers as per lokayukt act like it can even summon CBI , PM of India and all the bureuaucracy working in various ministries. It will even have the powers to summon entities who recieve foriegn funding
There have been various issues that the goverment even after 5 years have not formed lokpal .One has been no will of political class . Second is the issues sighted by present goverment that there is no opposition leaders. Even the goverment is trying to dilute the bill rather than making it strong.
I India wants to move forward on path of development the evil of corruption needs to be removed that can only happen if there is a strong watch dog to look after such issues because CBI has not been so effective and there are instance where govt influnce. Hope that lokpal is formed asap so that the this disease can be remove from india

Urban flooding essay
With rapid Urbanisation in India there has been more and more urban influx coming inside cities such as Delhi ,Mumbai,kolkata ,Hyderbad,chennai. People are coming in search of better opportunities this led to umplanned urbanisation leading to generation of more slums , more cutting for tress , disapperaing wetlands .
Due to all these things there have been more and more urban floods happening in major metros cities like recently seen in case of Chennai and Mumbai. Improper drainage system is one of the most important factor of urban flooding
Urban flooding has various consquences in terms of social and economical impact that they have on people.
Most of people living near banks of rivers looses there houses and have to shift to new places in search of jobs that many a times lead to development of large scale slums outside cities .
Goverment agencies should take the following steps to prevent such disaster from happening in future like formation of emergency operation centres and crisis control rooms .Urban development authorities should prepare a city master plan including disaster management plan .Proper rehablition should be done by govt authorities in time bound manner .Helth department should look that no endemic diseases are spread by maintaing emergenct medicine stocks .Pwd department should mantain the drainage system of city and should make an exxit plane in case of emergency.
Its high time that India should be capable of solving issues of urban flooding like many other developed nations all that is needed is proper corrdination between various agencies of goverment and proper siklling of manpower to resolve such issues in emergency.
