Anyone who is in the material world is certainly possessed of the impure propensity for lording it over material nature, or, in other words, for sense gratification. Such polluted propensities have to be cleared. Without doing so, through prescribed duties, one should never attempt to become a so called transcendentalist, renouncing work and living at the cost of work.

He who controls the senses by the mind and engages his active organs in works of devotion, without attachment, is by far superior.

A sincere sweeper in the street is far better than the charlatan meditator who meditates only for the sake of making a living.

One who restrains the senses and organs of action, but whose mind dwells on sense objects, certainly deludes himself is called a pretender.

But he who makes a show of being a yogī, while actually searching for the objects of sense gratification, must be called the greatest cheater, even though he sometimes speaks of philosophy.

Not by merely abstaining from work can one achieve freedom from reaction, nor by renunciation alone can one attain perfection. न कर्मणामनारम्भान्नैष्कर्म्यं पुरुषोऽश्नुते । न च संन्यसनादेव सिद्धिं समधिगच्छति ॥

Religion without philosophy is sentiment, or sometimes fanaticism, while philosophy without religion is mental speculation.

A person who has given up all desires for sense gratification, who lives free from desires, who has given up all sense of proprietorship and is devoid of false ego-he alone can attain real peace.

Dil ke boore nhi he hum......bas kuchh log aise hi hume pasand nhi karte....

,

The living entity can't be desireless or senseless, but he does have to change the quality of the desires. A materially desireless person certainly knows that everything belongs to supreme power (God) ,& therefore he does not falsely claim proprietorship over anything

“Everything comes to him who waits, except a loaned book.” ― Kin Hubbard

A person who is not disturbed by the incessant flow of desires---that enter like rivers into the ocean, which is ever being filled but is always still---can alone achieve peace, and not the man who strives to satisfy such desires. Good night 🙏🙏

dread it,run from it,destiny still arrives.

I haven't applied for JSO. But by mistake I put no in the question " do you possess EQ for JSO"? Does this effect any other post apart from JSO?
