Reg date:: Upto 26/9/11

Exam date:18 dec 2011(released in 2011)

Points to Notice:

1. There was no single yr since 2010 when there was no notification. So u can expect the notification to release this yr as well.

2. Check the gap:

Gap b/w 2011 & 2012 exam:10.5 months

Gap b/w 2012 & 2013 exam:20 months

Gap b/w 2013 & 2014 exam:11.5 months

Gap b/w 2014 & 2015 exam:15.5 months

Gap b/w 2015 & 2016 exam:9.5 months

Gap b/w 2016 & 2017 exam:9.5 months

It was in 2015 that the pattern changed. 

3. Vacancies for respective yrs: 75,98,117,134,163,145

Pattern:+23,+19,+17,+29,-18

Biggest increase:+29

Biggest decrease:-18

So a possible range of vacancies(2018 notification): (145- 18) to (145+29)= 127 to 174. Since vacancies decreased last yr I would rather say 127 to 145. 

4. After 2015 when the pattern changed, you will see the exam date of pre exam is usually scheduled after 6-7 weeks(approx 45 days) from date of beginning of online registration . Also no of days b/w pre and mains exam:15-20 days.

Now,

In 2015- Pre exam:21/22 Nov(SAT/SUN) Mains: 7 Dec(Monday)

In 2016- Pre exam:4 Sep(SUN) Mains: 19sep(Monday)

In 2017- Pre exam:17 jun(Sat) Mains: 7july(Friday)

So from above data we can conclude For pre exam: A Saturday or a Sunday is required. Also pre exam will happen after 45 days from day of beginning of online registration(or day of release of notification).This means pre exam cannot happen before july even if notification releases today.

An imp point to notice is that max delay b/w exams of 2 consecutive yrs since 2011 was 20 months. Last yr exam happened on 17 june. Now if exam gets delayed by 20 months, it will happen in feb of next yr(the case that we witnessed in 2011). I don’t think exam will be delayed this much. It should happen this yr.

Now considering the next big delay of 15.5 months .A delay of 15.5 months means exam this yr should be conducted before October. Now 1/7/8 July is reserved for SBI PO pre. 14/15/21/22/28/29 July(SaT/Sun) are free. If RBI wants to conduct pre exam on any of these dates, it must release the notification b/w 27 may-17 June. 

Now august is fully occupied by SBI PO/CLERK mains and RRB PO/CLK(PRE). Sep is again free. So it is very much possible that RBI will follow the schedule it followed in 2016 if exam happens before October. So if RBI Follows this schedule notification should release b/w 15 July-15 Aug.

I am not saying it cannot happen after October. They can move as per the schedule they followed in 2015 and 2012.

Representation work was completed yesterday. As per sources, exact 1527 people got 500+. 1500 people got 180+ in English and 1000 people got 170+ in Maths. 8000 people got 320+ in Tier-2 hence 320 is cutoff for CPT. Expect at least 20 marks increase in cutoff.
