People who used to learn for enlightment and a better understanding of the world are rarerly seen now. All I see now is a bunch of people who learn one thing and go out to rescue the world with that, and in the mean time they shove that learning down the throats of everyone else who might know better to not argue with such charlatans.

Taking the point raised by @Ssccgl20171 ahead:
In the current post and then state allocation system of SSC, firstly the post preference is asked and later after a while state allocation is done without any counselling. This means that due to this prevailing process most candidates are unaware of the possibility of them getting their desired location.
What entails due to this:
A- A lot of candidates end up in either undesired posts or states.
B- It has become a widely accepted norm to take one job and quit it after simultaneous preparation. Doing this 'n' times over until you get your desired post and posting or you cross the age limit for appearing in the exam.
C- Extensions, Leaves, inefficient disposal of duties by the aggrieved selected candidates.
D- Loss of seniority that the employees have to face putting them behind their batchmates by years.
E- Psuedo-vacancies being created leading us to think that govt. is creating these. I call it psuedo because they are actually generated by one employee leaving for another department or state. In fact a lot of vacancies are created this way and we get content with the numbers. I raise this point because most of the candidates think govt. has the biggest role in vacancy creation.
F- Loss faced by the govt. in training and re-training such candidates and losing a well trained employee.
G- Increased competition in the exams causing gross dissatisfaction among the candidates causing the most of them to appear multiple times to land a single job. This dissatisfaction in its extreme leads to protests etc.
J- Vacant seats due to the candidates not joining because they didn't get their desired state (including those who already had a job) will remain vacant and will lead to less manpower and all that generally ensues.
There are a lot of similar points that can be made but the crux of the matter is that this practise is not at all healthy be it for candidates or for govt. unless of course the govt wants this only.
So what is the way forward?
1- There must be a centralised core system which facilitates the post and state allocation in real time. This can be done over the course of a week.
2- Attaching a reserved list of candidates who in case of any vacant seats would get a chance. This is difficult now because of the current procedure adopted by the commission but after a centralised system is in place it is feasible.
I might have been wrong in any of my above-stated points so kindly discuss citing the point number and present your views on this issue as a whole.

What is happening in our country? Bjp government has led it to ruins. Just four years ago, everything was glittering and perfect. Light was shining out of our asses , women were partying late at night without safety concerns, everyone was employed and having regular s*x, crime was at lowest. Now everything sucks. I have to go to office every day and pay my taxes. Is this an democratic country where one has to work and pay taxes. Bjp hatao, Desh bachao.. PS.. I am a RaGa fanatic.
