The undersigned is directed to refer to your letter no. F. no. 314t2O16-P&P-l (Vol-ll) dated
09.10.2017 on the subject and state that the vacancy position for the post of Junior Statistical
Officer (JSO) has been examined by this Ministry and '124' vacancies are available for
recruitment through CGLE-2017 as against '50' vacancies reported earlier. The category-wise
break-up of the vacancies is as follows:

2. lt is further informed that, '666' vacancies were intimated by this Ministry for the post of
JSO to SSC, for recruitment through CGLE-20{6. Out of this '21' vacancies were reserved for
PH candidates. However, in the Final Result declared by SSC on its Officiat website, it has been
observed that'4' non-PH candidates have been recruited agdinst the vacancies reserved for pH
candidates.
