Everyone is playing cutoff game! Here are my 2 cents.
Decrease in T-1---- 5 Marks.
Decrease in maths--- 15 Marks for middle scorers (150-170). 20 Marks for 170+ as compared to last year. So last year's 165 is this year's 150 and last year's 180 is this year's 160. There were less moderate questions. 60 easy 10 moderate and 30 hard. So concentration will be between 135-155.
Increase in English -- 15 marks for the Middle scoreres(140-160) and 10 marks for 160+. Maximum people are assuming English marks high because of 2 reasons 1. Accuracy 2. Maths went below so after Paper 1 they got Relatively easy english than Maths.
taking 550 of last year to get a good IP(I had 551 and was getting (CSS/PO/InsofPosts/CBI/OtherMin/Excise). Number of UR IP posts are higher than last year. bring down to 545. 60 in descriptive. 545-60=485... Last year I had 485(156.5+163.5+165). Last year's 485 is roughly equivalent to this year's ( 485-5-20+5=465). So if you are getting around 460. Then study well for tier-3. Score well over average(60) and get an IP.
