๐Ÿ› SSC CGL 2019 Tier 1 Notification โ€“ Exam Date, Syllabus and Preparation (Part 1)

Wrote chsl17 pre today. What I've observed in gk section is current affairs were given more weightage. From now we can't neglect current affairs as we did in past(only 2-3 questions used to come). Please start current affairs section from today itself if you are aiming for CGL 18.

Amidst all the speculation regarding Executive Assistant , I went to Chief Commissioner's office (cbec Kolkata zone) to verify if vacancies for EA has been sent...They showed me the file that around 179 vacancies for EA had been sent for CGLE 16. Not sure why it wasn't added in 16.

Regarding certain claims of a Right-wing organization burning 50000 kg of mango wood to reduce pollution, firstly, the wood that is being burnt is not from fell trees but only from fallen figs and small branches of trees .Not a single tree will be cut in the process. And by all logical means,50000 kg of figs??Does that even sound logical in the first place?I dont think that number is even near to 50000 kg.though one of the priests of that organization have claimed the same.collecting 50000 kg of fallen figs will take years.

Anyway assuming that this has been done, whether with 50000 or 5000 kg or whatever,it is a source of pollution,no doubts. But do we really care about pollution ?If so ,i can safely assume most of u would be aware of the concept called carbon foot-print. Globally, the highest carbon-footprint is being left not by yajnas ,but by the industries we see around us,and many other human activities. Do u know the amount of carbon footprint our meat, fish and poultry ย industry leaves ?will u be able to turn the world vegan for this? And the highesr carbon footprint nations are those first world countries where most indians would love to go,settle, and later brag about their achievement of being a NRI :)ย
