one friendly suggestion for all friends here,try to collect as much info as possible on every post of cgl,before filling up ur options form.Last time,I just blindly fell for Inspector of Posts seeing the 4600 gp ahead of TA CBDT which was 2800 gp.Anyway as of now I have decided to move on from IPO(Inspector of Posts) service,but the advantage I would have got with TA CBDT is that,I could have prepared for upsc directly from that job itself.In IPO,unfortunately unless u get Railway Mail service ,Technology Inspector or similar posts,chances of cracking UPSC from this past is very hard.but otherwise,if this post by chance happens to be ur only choice and u have crossed age limit as well,then dont feel dejected,this job is not a bad one.And that is why ,for such candidates,I focussed on the positives of this job more than the negative ones in my previous two posts,just so that they dont get demoralised.because much of the fears sarrounding this IPO post circulating on SM is unfounded,I can say this as an insider.Even with targets,u still dont have the pressure of bank POs.Hence its still a better job than bank po.Infact,one of my IPO training batchmates had moved over from a PSU Bank Specialist officer job to this IPO,and he was happy here,than he had been in PSU bank.But coming to certain negatives of this job,here u are given an important role in postal subdivision administration(I repeat,this is only for subdivisional inspectors,not for Railway Mail Services or other profiles).Hence some pressure of work is there,since u will be the head of ur subdivision.For example,targets of account opening are there(but failure to reach targets wont lead to any punishment either,and pressure is so not so severe like banks,still some pressure is there). Then for any legal or administrative hurdle in ur subdivision,u will be the first who would be approached. now this seems a one-line statement,but in reality this amounts to a large amount of work.Like for example,question papers of board exams or competitive exams are always booked through speed parcel or registered parcel of IndiaPost.U will have the responsibility as an IPO,to ensure proper delivery of Question paper bags to respectives schools, or nearest police stations.U will be given armed police officials for guarding papers,and police or postal vehicles also.that is not the issue.but the greater issue is the responsibility and headache that comes with this duty.If any single bag goes missing from the vehicle,u will be suspended first by ur dept,along with the police officials as well(by the state govt).but anyway these things rarely happen,and unless IPO himself is involved in corruption or paper selling,such leaks wont happen.On the brighter side to this,u can be of help to many people,since u are entrusted with many other things.for example,while I was in service,I cleared off a few outstanding RPLI(Postal Life Insurance) payments,by submitting the enquiry reports which were not touched by my earlier colleagues.This helped many outstanding payees . Similarly ,u will be approached by common people for any problem they are facing,related to post offices.Just like many others,u can choose not to act on these complaints,or u can take pressure&initiative and help these common village people .I chose the latter path,and hence my upsc prep was getting hampered,because I was giving too much time to this dept.But even if u choose to keep the files untouched,sooner or later someone might file a complaint against u in PGPortal or PMO grievance portal,and then u will have to act anyway :) Also u will have the responsibility of manning and smooth operation of all branch offices under ur subdivision.THis again is an one-liner,but in reality has many aspects to it,all of which I wont be able to list out :) So this job becomes a bit more hectic than most inspector jobs ,because of the authority and charter of responsibilities it carries with it.but as i always say,its not as bad as PSU banks or private jobs.Even with all the responsibilities,I never felt bad in this job,I quit the job because of UPSC,otherwise if u are choosing to settle down here,then it is not bad,and will become easier in future,since TCS will implement the core system integration across all post offices of india in 2-3 years.After that,most of ur work will be laptop based.I tried to summarise some of the points raised in the comments section of my last two posts,wrt the job profile of this post.

I called ssc HQ delhi nobody received even one landline was switched off ( how ) then I called WR mumbai they told it comes in 15 days do check the website I asked is there any stay on answer keys She replied no, no stay on ans key
