http://zeenews.india.com/india/compulsory-military-service-for-those-seeking-govt-jobs-recommends-parliamentary-standing-committee-2089711.html Β this may well become our first step to the resurrection of indic civilization. This was the dream of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, that every indian should be strong ,stout and militarily competent. I fully support the govt of India on this .And in the second phase, every college student should have compulsory conscription for 1 year atleast, like they do in Israel.

Yaar, ek toh main thehra Bhakt ! Aur upar se, Bhajpa aur Modiji ki hi khichai karun toh maza nahi aayega ! (Waise aa to raha hai πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ ) still, I'll return with my new Avatar Shortly ==> Benito Mussolini ! πŸ˜‚πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸ‘

I don't know if it's happy news or bad news, SSC is going to conduct CET for all government exams from 2019. I personally feel happy as I am familiar with SSC pattern.

As per current budget allocation to army....if military training become compulsory for govt employees then employees need to buy their own rifles and ammunition and even dress coz shortage of fund in indian army.........even current soldiers have to fight with old insas (90's technology during kargil) + dont have proper dress + gears as per modern standards . Modern warfare equipments only limiyed to few batallions of (para commandos) Indian army needs modernization not quantity it is already 2nd world largest army in terms of soldiers πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

1) The Government of India constituted the Subordinate Services Commission on 4 th November 1975, which was subsequently re-designated as the Staff Selection Commission w.e.f. 26th September, 1977.

2) Staff Selection Commission is one of the largest recruiting agencies in the country in terms of number of applicants who apply for various posts in the Government of India

3) The Committee has been further informed by the Commission that as on 31.12.2017, there are 2220 court cases pending before various Courts in which SSC is a party.

4) The Government of India has proposed to introduce a Common Eligibility Test (CET) to shortlist candidates for vacancies of Group β€˜B’ (Non-Gazetted) and below level posts in the Government of India. Through this exercise, the entire recruitment system would be revamped and rationalized in two distinct stages, i.e.Β

(i) Tier-I - a Common Screening Test subsuming the preliminary Tier-I examinations conducted by all recruiting agencies of the Government of India, viz. SSC, Railways, Banking, etc; andΒ
(ii) Tier-II – the main Examinations to be conducted independently by the concerned recruiting agencies

5) To kick start the process under the revised dispensation, candidates would mandatorily have to register themselves on a dedicated portal developed by the National Career Services (NCS) of the Ministry of Labour & Employment, which would generate a unique ID for each candidate. CETs would be conducted at three levels:Β
(i) Matriculation Level;Β
(ii) Higher Secondary (10+2) Level; andΒ
(iii) Graduation Level.Β
About 5 crore candidates are estimated to register for all the three levels of CETs making it the largest examination in the world.

6) It has been decided that in the Financial Year 2018-19, only one level of CETs, i.e. at the Graduation Level, would be conducted in February, 2019. In the successive year(s), all the three levels of examination would be conducted.Β

7) The Government has proposal to make CET scores valid for a period of two years. The candidates would use their scores for appearing in Tier-II examinations, which would be conducted independently by the respective recruiting agencies.Β
There is also scope for the CET scores to be used by State Governments / Public Sector Undertakings / Private Sector for recruitment of their manpower.
