Hi. I went to the ssc office (North region-lodhi road, Delhi). Those students who have submitted multiple applications from different regions have to submit an application addressing to the regional director and mentioning which form to accept and which to reject with their respective registration numbers and other details as mentioned in the latest notification. And those people who have submitted multiple applications from the same region can relax because the Sir sitting at the enquiry counter is saying that the latest application will be accepted for the same region. And if u are still not satisfied then u can submit the similar application as mentioned above describing the respective registration numbers.

Allow me to clarify a doubt, often asked by many but still a bit ambiguous.

Open the door .Will you ? Won't you ? wouldn't you ? couldn't you.

Well, Stick to one basic funda.- The normal rule that operates with tag questions is that you add a negative tag to a positive statement and a positive tag to a negative statement:

You can, of course, use ...would you? and ...could you? with your example, Gamil, in addition to ...will you? and ...won't you?, but note that with the imperative we cannot use ...wouldn't you? or ...couldn't you?.

What is Imperative ?

An imperative sentence gives a direct command. It can end in a full stop or an exclamation mark, depending on the forcefulness of the command.

Leaving aside imperative structures, the normal rule that operates with tag questions is that you add a negative tag to a positive statement and a positive tag to a negative statement:

  • You would go to see Phil in America if I gave you the money, wouldn't you?
  • You couldn't help me sort out these overtime schedules, could you?

The normal expectation when you add a negative tag to a positive statement is that the answer will be yes. Similarly, when you add a positive tag to a negative statement, you expect the answer to be no:

  • They're such a lively bunch, aren't they? ~ Yes, they are. They've always got lots of energy.
  • You don't remember meeting my uncle, do you? ~ No, I'm sorry. I don't.
  • Any Android App dedicated to Verbal Ability Section only where i can find all the previous years' questions like that in Kiran's Book? Thanks in Advance.
