Guys please evaluate this article on Freedom of speech and provide feedback.

Speech is god's gift to mankind. Through speech a human being conveys his ideas and thoughts to others. Freedom of speech is thus a natural right. Today, the freedom of speech and expression has been recognized both in the regional and the international human rights law.

Freedom of speech and expression is not only the right to express or publish but also includes the right to seek, receive and impart information and ideas.

Without the freedom of speech, there could be no progress in science, law or politics as it does require free discussion and opinions. A just and fair social system is unthinkable without the guarantee of freedom of speech to all members of the society. Therefore, it is one of the most basics elements for a healthy and a open-minded democracy. In India, this right is granted by Article19(1)(a) of the Indian constitution. However, this right of freedom is not completely unchecked. Article 19(2) allows for reasonable restrictions to be imposed under certain conditons like security of the state, public order, defamation, incitement to an offence, sovereignty and integrity of India, etc.

It can be concluded from above that freedom of speech and expression is very basics and essence of the constitution and our democracy. We have to admt that it is very necessary for development as new ideas are born in debates and discussions. Diverse points of view and opinions create conditions that are perfect for progress and development and if not, certain restrictions can be imposed such that the other's right should not be hindered or affected by the acts of one man.

Jallikattu also known as “Manju Viratto” is an ancient bull taming sport played in Tamilnadu on the occasion of Pongal festival (harvest festival) for four days starting from 13th of January. Actually the word “Jallikattu” is made up of two words namely “jalli” and “kattu” which mean tying gold or silver coins to the horns of the humped bull as the prize money. This sport involves various stages.

Jallikattu is celebrated since the ancient time and finds its mention in sangam literature (ancient Tamil poetry) as well. However, for the past few years there has been a huge uproar over it as many social activist’s organizations like PETA (People for Ethical Treatment to Animals) , Animal Welfare Board of India and other NGO’s are demanding a complete ban on it. According to them this sport involves assault on animals and hence must be brought under the Prevention of Cruelty Act 1960.

But the ban on jallikattu will invove lot of social, ethical, economical and judicial complexities. For example, it will violate the mandate of art. 29 of indian constitution. According to which all linguistic and cultural minorities have full rights to preserve their customs and traditions. Further, it will reduce the popularity of local breeds of cows (gives more useful A2 kind of milk) and humped bulls (esp. reared for jallikattu). This ban will hurt the sentiments of tamil people as well.

However, if jallikattu is allowed to be played in its present form, it will violate article 21. According to which, all the animals have right to live the dignified lives. Now SC’s decision will decide whether this sport is allowed with slight modifications or banned completely so as to set an example in context of safeguarding animal’s rights.

Guys please review this and tell me what can be removed and included in the essay Thank you in Advance

A single word Demonetisation has given a ray of hope to the honest indians and has taken away the peace of the tax evaders. On 8th november 2016, PM Modi announced demonetisation of country’s high value currency notes i.e, 1000 and 500 rupee notes. Demonetisation means to withdraw the status of legal tender of currency in circulation. Earlier this was done in 1946 and again in 1978.

Demonetisation is used as a tool to curb inflation, corruption, parallel economy, counterfeit cash to fund the illegal activities and terrorism and creating equality in our country. According to the world bank, parallel economy consists of country’s 23% GDP which is used to finance against country’s security. It is the main reason for the cost inflation in the country. Making the dream of the average citizen costlier.

With a windfall of approaximately rs. 12lakh crore back to the bank. The people supported this move of “corruption free system”. Now government should focus tostrengthen laws gainst tax evasion.

However, this move was heavily criticised as poorly planned and was met with protests. As high value currency notes accounts for 86% of country’s total cash supply and more than 50% money in circulation is black money but most of it will find way to get back in system.

This step of central govenment will affect general people to some extent but for the benefit of future generation such decisions are inevitable. Only time will tell us how this step has been taken by the history of india.
