Riparian vegetation [the green band of vegetation along a watercourse] can help stabilize stream banks; filter sediment from surface runoff; and provide wildlife habitat, livestock forage, and scenic value.Well-developed vegetation also allows bank soils to absorb extra water during spring runoff, releasing it later during drier months, thus improving late-summer stream flows.

In many parts of the arid West, trees and shrubs are found only in riparian areas.Woody plants are very important as winter cover for many wildlife species, including upland game birds such as pheasants and turkeys. Often this winter cover is the greatest single factor limiting game bird populations.Woody vegetation also provides hiding cover and browse for many other species of birds and mammals, both game and nongame.

Dead trees (“snags”) are an integral part of streamside habitats and should be left standing whenever possible.Woodpeckers, nuthatches, brown creepers, and other birds eat the insects that decompose the wood. These insects usually pose no threat to nearby living trees. Occasionally a disease organism or misuse of pesticides will weaken or kill a stand of trees. If several trees in a small area begin to die, contact your local extension agent immediately.

What can be the expected cut off for AAO post?

AAO ke liye next round mein sirf document verification hoga na? Essay waala paper nahi hai for AAO? Can someone please confirm?

If one clears the tier I + tier II cut off for Interview Posts by just a few marks (like 5 or 6 marks) , will he have very low chances of getting an interview post or one of the top interview posts ?. Cause I heard from someone that if a person JUST by a few marks clears the cutoff for Interview posts , he will definitely get Non-Interview post for sure , but his chance of getting ANY interview post at all or his chances of getting a GOOD Interview post is low. In any case , i know the final deciding factor would be Tier I + II + III + Interview marks , but still I want to know .

"Corruption and hypocrisy ought not to be the inevitable products of democracy, as they undoubtedly are today." -Mahatma Gandhi Corruption is a menace to the society. The latest initiative taken by Narendra modi led BJP government was very much the need of the our.Its not the first time that india has demonetized it's currency. Demonetization is a process by which a series of currency will not be acceptable as a legal tender. In 1946 the Reserve bank of India(RBI) demonetized the currency note of 10000 rupee. In 1954 a new 5000 rupee note came in existence but In 1978 it was also demonetized and was taken out of the circulation. This step of Demonetization has its own advantages and drawbacks. On 8th November 2016, when Government of India decided to take 500 and 1000 rupee notes out of circulation from the market we all knew that this will going to have huge impact on Indian economy as 500 and 1000 rupee notes form 84 percent of the total currency notes in the market released by RBI.People were asked to get their old currency notes of 500 and 1000 denomination exchanged from their nearest post office or bank. However, the opinion of different economists are divided on the actual benifit of this scheme and with the deposits of 9.45 lakh crore in various bank accounts across the country the claim of rupees 3 lakh crore being hidden as unaccounted money is losing it's ground. The few advantages of this scheme are. -Death knell to fake currency rackets. - Restrictions on terrorist fundings. -Movement of our economy towards a cashless economy. -End of Hawala transactions. -Bring transparency and accountability to the system. -Because of large deposites being made in bank account, the availability of cheap credits. However there are a few difficulties and challanges and in a country of 1.25 billion and 6 lakh villages it can cause ample difficulties to the common people.some of which are -Rush at bank and ATMs -India is still an economy which functions largely on cash, so this step will cause shortage of money to common people -Short time inflation. The difficulties and challanges are a part and parcel of life but the intent of the government on this decision is right, if the challanges could be faced with a proper management this step can bring a positive change.

dosto mujhe lagha hai ki jo notification mein yeh baat boli gayi hai ki tier-1, tier-2 and tier-3 separately clear karne padenge uska matlab yeh hai ki tier-2 ki curt off alag niklegi matla 400 mein se and similarly tier-3. phir sabko combine karke post milegi

to isliye jaha tier-1 easy hone ki waja se 137 cut off gayi thi wahi tier-2 difficult and lengthy hone ki wajah se (2015-330 marks cut off for tier -2) 20-30 marks down bhi ja sakti hai

True, it is the function of the army to maintain law and order in abnormal times. But in normal times there is another force that compels citizens to obey the laws and to act with due regard to the rights of others. The force also protects the lives and the properties of law abiding men. Laws are made to secure the personal safety of its subjects and to prevent murder and crimes of violence. They are made to secure the property of the citizens against theft and damage to protect the rights of communities and castes to carry out their customs and ceremonies, so long as they do not conflict with the rights of others. Now the good citizen, of his own free will obey these laws and he takes care that everything he does is done
with due regard to the rights and well-being of others. But the bad citizen is only restrained from breaking these laws by fear of the consequence of his actions. And the necessary steps to compel the bad citizen to act as a good citizen are taken by this force. The supreme control of law and order in a State is in the hands of a Minister who is responsible to the State Assembly and acts through the Inspector General of Police.

After reading the QMaths post, this is what I understand:

You have to clear Tier 1 on its own cutoff. [Done]

Once you clear Tier 1, you then have to clear Tier 2 on its own cutoff. [Awaited]

Whether or not you give both Tier 3 and 4 is dependent on your score in Tier 1 and 2. You must have cleared Tier 1 and 2 separate cutoffs, and Tier 1+2 combined cutoff.

This is probably to deal with students who think scoring 180/200 in Tier 1 and then scoring 250/400 in Tier 2 will sail him through... because of the earlier 1+2 rule.

Then, once you give Tier 3 and 4, they will have separate cutoffs each also.

Once you have gone through the entire process, Tier 1+2+3+4 (4th is only qualifying as of right now) will decide your final post allottment.
