dere r around 1000 students in 4 mgmt colleges n fee increased is rs. 1 lac vch makes it to rs. 10 crores
does he mean to say dat d total xpenditure on permanent n visiting faculties vl b rs. 10 crores...evn if othr xpnses r included vd permanent n visiting faculties charges dn oso how cud it reach dat amount dude
n plz do nam a few coleges vch r in d sam league as balaji yt der fee z higher

and seriously yaar.....wht can we do....we all knw itz a game played by management....but no point arguing over the same thing....dey hav done it.....bottom line is if u wanna come you hav to pay.....itz difficult for me too but i cant waste 1 yr now....so hav to do it....no option....itz a well planned game dey hav played....

I am in Dilemma!
I wanted advice form expert puys in this regard but suggestions from other are most welcome!
I got selected in MBA in HR in Amity and HR prog in BIMHRD (although i wanted HR prog in BIMM)
previously i chucked Amity because of the ROI issue 8.5L fee + 3-3.5L of hostel and expenses, placements issue and teaching also not par... the only advantage abt Amity is Branding and location(am from Gurgaon).
Now BIMM has a hike in fee making it 6L + hostel & expenses. Branding is an issue for this college(I was surprised to see that the college is not in the rankings maan!)I know that in terms of teaching and faculty its a good college but i am also concerned about its placements.
Now i am going for the MS Ramaiah GDPI also. plz guys suggest me what i sud do!
tough to choose your decision to make....go ramaiah if you get.....bimhrd better dan amity for sure....placement will be in your hand ultimately....

Now these are the correct words one can use for SBS Management ............ or we should call them OPPORTUNIST.
after such a huge marketing of its colls and huge response from candidates they played this dirty thing ......... feeling bad for those who are in fix coz of this issue but those who are joining best of luck to them and wish they will get good returns for their investment

dat y d heck ur society comes to know abt d financial constraint to increase fees by Rs. 1 lac every year in just 1 month....
last yr too dey showed d increment of dis fees on d day of result....

I truly agree. I had asked this question to the management , to be precise "Bala Sir" himself.
I am just telling what he told me, am not adding anything from my side.
The reason for the fee hike is more number of permanent faculties employed.Also if you compare the fee with any other college in the league it is far less.
I personaly dont think it was a good decision but then I cant do any thing about it. !
But one thing I would like to tell all of you, we never felt that our money is being misused here. So many faculites come and charge big amounts !!
Lots of guest lectures are being held... they all need to be paid . Even you will never regret paying this fees ! Trust me !! You will get the returns !!

placements in telecom are rediculous to say the least....

Come on Yar seniors can a do a lot in this regard they can let them (SBS Management) know that such decisions should be made much before the gd pi process starts (before selling the forms) so that aspirants can know well in advance about the money that their family have to arrange.
Such things are expected from a good b school.........anyways I hope such things will not happen in future

Boss they will not bother about it may be they will refuse receiving calls after 5-10 such calls as incharge person is also in that admission cell team and he knows that what is this game all about .....
but why we all are saying this here at pagalguy so as to know people abt such institutes and their management and may be others can take care of such situations in future .........i know many people who have dropped many colls just because they want BIMM and other colls of SBS. Its a gr8 loss to their dreams and efforts.
How can an institute spoil the dreams of many aspirants......... there should be some guidelines in AICTE for such institutes

well as they say there are many IILM ..WICH ONE TO JOIN,...16 knowleddge park or 17....
so no comments on IILM....but if ur fresher ....if u ask me ....there is a doubt upon merit of this bitm telecom course........it restricts you..and as such placements have'nt been too great in telecom....
course structure and subjects are also not a great value addition according to many.......

yes i agree....even those colleges who ask you to fil forms before results are announced.... those are also opportunist...symbi also ddoes it...
In this case, it looks they used a new approach to dodge students...
Abt aicte....you may report it if ur a concerned party or even if not...they may just take it up..or make a new rule next time....bring this to their notice.......Just be the change u want others to be......

i personally feel if its GSM then you should go for it..if its CMS then evaluate your options...
i personally feel if its CMS then u can think of joining it instead of BITM..its my personal viewpoint...let me know what specialisation you are getting at BITM.
