You can change the specialization even after joining the course... Switching specializations occur in the first month or so.
But change of specialization is generally in the college allotted to you. Inter College changes are tedious.

Go ahead for anything related to Marketing in the entire SBS... you will get lot of opportunities to prove your worth.. The placements of Marketing specialization are the better in entire SBS compared to specializations like Finance and Telecom..

Undoubtedly BIMM is enjoys an edge over others as it is the oldest of all the institutes...
Rest 3 are at the same level..but that doesn't mean they aren't good... BIIB, BITM and BIMHRD all have bagged awards of national prestige in their own categories..

As the placements are centralized its very difficult to figure out placements course by course... but as PGDM course at BIMHRD offers Marketing specialization, placements are ought to be decent..
Change of course in the same college is comparatively easier than inter-college changes which are a bit tedious...
However if there are vacancies in other colleges and you a fitting into the vacancy as per the merit list and preference you will be automatically transferred to your higher preference..
i have been selected for BIMM fresher's course this year.... i scored a percentile of 96.43 i.e. a score of 135/200 in MH-CET... do u think its advisable to forego BIMM for CET at this score?? will i get a college at par with BIMM through CET??

But that doesn't guarantee the change in your course..
Your preference will be upgraded only in case of available seats, your preference in the form and your position in the merit list..

I need a confirmed info about IT and Marketing..The dual specialised courses(saw all the specialisations mentioned for split except for IT and marketin which is not mentioned) would be split later based on counselling at the coll but I've read at the BIMM site about the courses offered and saw that IT is offered and compulsory to all..so that means my specialisation is Marketin and not IT actually or like other dual degree courses would I also be counselled and put into IT or marketin..the reason i wanna know this is marketin is not my thing and i thought i can go into IT as am frm IT backgrd..if i would be takin marketin then wht are the chances that i change to HR in BIMM..am already in BIMM so specialisation changes can be done or not?..i would appreciate info but not opinion..please let me knw the source of info if not joined SBS yet..thanks a lot in advance..
