SPM Gandhinagar offers a two-year full-time residential programme at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU).
The School of Petroleum Management (formerly, Institute of Petroleum Management Gandhinagar - IPMG) was established in 2006 by GERMI (Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute), a trust and a society promoted by GSPC (Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation), a Government of Gujarat undertaking. In 2007, when GERMI established Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), the institute became a constituent of PDPU leading to the rechristening of the Institute to School of Petroleum Management (SPM).
Following specialisations are offered at MBA programme: 1. Energy and Infrastructure 4. Operations Management 2. Finance 5. Human Resources Management 3. Marketing

Eligibility:
Only Candidates who have appeared at Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014 conducted by IIMs are eligible to apply. A candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in all semesters/trimesters or equivalent CGPA, of any University incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. The Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education.
Selection Process:
Selection Matrix: Selection of students shall be done using the following criteria along with the weights indicated below: Criterion Weights CAT Score 60%, Group Discussion 10%, Written Ability Test 05%, Personal Interview 10%, Work Experience 10%, Academic Performance 05%. Academic performance in standard 12 and at bachelor degree will be appropriately factored in the selection.
The last date of receiving the application form is 27 th February, 2015.

Sir, I had gone through all b school rankings, but they had not mentioned SPM !! Though Placements are good, why they had not considered it in B school ranking?????
Except oil and gas is there other psu related to Energy and power come to recurit?

Placements details of 2012-14 batch:
The whole lot of 60 prospective managers were able to find their employers which helped us making 100% placements mark.
There were completely active efforts by Placement Officer and placement committee who is on campus to make the dreams of students come true.

of exp in an itegrated steel plant(pvt ltd), worked as an electrical
maintenance engg.expecting 75-80 percentile in cat 2014. interested in spm e&i management . do my 12th mark be a problem for me? really worried abt it a lot, i may not be eligible for any mba colleges, mba would b a dream for me even if i get a 90 percentile...

I have done BE in Automobile and I am planning to apply for MBA in E&I.Will I have a disadvantage while placements to those who have Bachelors in Civil/Mechanical field (assuming that my performance in MBA is on par with them)?
