Selected areas in the hostel as well as institute are WiFi enabled. In institute, WiFi network is available in Reading room and Green Turf.

WiFi network is not available in hostel rooms (however some rooms close to the stairs catch the network). WiFi network in hostel is avaibale in corridors near the stairs on each floor...

Nope no LAN in room. People sit in the corridor to acess net.

abhinav, I think most ppl are working. they dont have that much access to internet. Also more ppl exist in Orkut than in PG.

If I want to cancel my admission, what should I do?
I had called the SIOM office and they asked me to send a handwritten application. But regarding exactly how the money is going to be refunded, the Operator didn't say much, said we will be intimated later.
Can u please throw some light on this?
I might cancel my admission at SIOM.

Hi pritha.. Whatever i'll say i wont be able to back myself with any hanwritten guidlines but will tell you what i know about this..
Your application along with others as well will be dealt together, your name will be removed from the Merit list, so that next Waiting list candidates get their chance.
After all this, amount of 1000Rs. will be deducted from your total fee and you'll be informed about the return. So you need not worry for the return. Kindly send your application as soon as you can and also ask them to mail you the procedure.

@all-- 3rd Merit -List will be displayed any moment.. Cant really predict about the numbers this time, but will try to put all the names of selected candidates as soon as i can..

Hi Biswadeep, I got my letter on 4th day after result declaration. Instead of waiting for the Letter what you can do is read all the instructions from SIOM site, download the Hostel Rules, Code of Conduct, Acceptance Offer.. Be ready with your Draft. Caste Certificate if any, and degree certificate or provisional

You can download this document here..
I also did the same, so there is no issues related to Acceptance of Printout version. Send you dully filled form and DD as soon as possible..
If i dint mentioned anything please let me know..
