After so much of rigorous thinking i ve decided to leave the SIOM offer, but at such a point of time i need suggestion or advise from u guyss.
i m from "DA" category and i converted SIOM call with S-2 in my category, my snap score is 56 & m a fresher automation engineer (m in final yr)
@ SIIB i got wait listed @ W/L-4 in my category for 4 seats in it..
and i m thinking to wait for 2nd list of SIIB
so what r my chances to it??
is my decision right???
i need your views and suggestion on it..
so far as my interests r concern i m inclined too both IB AWA OM and in SIIB i can get both,,
plss help me out guyss
sorry to dissapoint but from last years trends it does not seem likely that it will clear...u can send d first installment to SIOM and then wait 4 d second SIIB list....the first installment is always refundable....

I didn't reply coz i had no idea abt this category. Asked a friend who belongs to it. She was WL-2 and she got her convert in Late July and she wasn't getting any refund from SIOM then. Acc. to her, SIIB WL movement is very slow. And in these times, its very unlikely that it will move much. So if you still wanna take a risk go ahead!
Another option could be to take admission here, and then withdraw in a month. So that your money is refund back to u.

Have u guys decided on the laptop??? does SIOM have a tie up with any dealers? and if yes will be get a better deal or is it advisable to buy a laptop before we get there?? please advise

Hi bhavin.. Its too risky.. Please call up at the office and confirm accordingly... I suggest you to call Blue dart service..they'll collect your form from your door and will deliver within 48hours.. Its better if it reaches before or on 16th.. U have time and ways to do it.. Why take chances... Best of luck

Chances seem to be bleak! Don't have much idea about the exact movement in SC category last year. The movement was most probably in one-digit last year...

Bout Laptops...Are bulk deals done by SIOM? last year which brands were offered in these deals? Around how much rebate can one get thru these deals? Seniors, what do u suggest...should I buy from these deals or buy one myself back home? Though am a complete gadget and computer freak, I really dont want to trouble my parents further by buying a high-end laptop. :tellme:

We didn't have any bulk deals last year as the configs which were being offered weren't good for the price. Again its onto you, you can buy it and come or make sure someone in your batch takes the initiative to get a bulk deal. Actually college admin plays no role in this, infact we the students have to take care of it.

Result will be out on official site. Though there is no time mentioned so kindly wait till evening. If not late it will be out by 5pm for sure..can be early too. So you just have to wait.:wink: I too lost my contact number, but i recvd e-mail from SIOm office, so can be with you too.. I'll put up the list here too if i'm able to.. Best of luck..

I have post the DD to SIOM and got confirmation that it was recieved by SIOM.So finally i am in SIOM 09-11 batch. Well it seems that not many poeple are replying to this thread (Including me) frequently. Well to break this chain here i am presenting myself. I am Bhavin Parmar from Gujarat. Right nw working in TCS-Ahmedabad since 33 months. I am waitlisted in SIIB (Not seems to be converted) I have BIM Trichy call(Interview is on 20th March). --------------- SIOM is certainly a very good choice because of its spectecular performace in last 3 year, Specially i am looking for IT Operations,so its best option for me.
