Last year there were no sectional cutoffs...
and the Over All cutoff was very low for even Gen Category students. And I don't think they will consider sectionals even this tym.
Over All cutoff was around 50 last year for Gen Category student

Cut offs
CUT-OFF DETAILS FOR CANDIDATES SELECTED FOR SELECTION PROCESS OF MBA -
(Hospital & Healthcare Management) - (Batch 2010-12)

Sr. No. Category Cut-Off (Out of 180 score of SNAP)

1 SC 35.75
2 ST 28.25
3 Differently-abled 30.25
4 Open/General 50.00
5 Kashmiri Migrant 24.25

since there is 1/4th negative marking.... v need to concentrate more the section which we are gud at....
if u get 30/40 in ur 2 favourite sections and 10-15 in others than u ll be at the top af getting a chance to get a call for gd and pi
best of luck puys

KK u serious cutoff ws 50 last year.. thn i guess quants can b a total option 4 me to leave...gk verbal nd critical wil b more thn enough..

obviously tiss....
the top ranked institutes in snap are sibm, schrmd, siit, telecom, and sihs has no rank
tiss is ranked AAA by mba education careers and TIME

even in tiss... HR wala is gud but tiss has only one campus and entire col is ranked in top 10
whereas symbiosis has different campuses for all institutes
let us see if not tiss than sihs and if not sihs than....iihm

so u r preparing for the xam? and if yes than wat?

are no spcl prepartn for snap..cut offs rlly less 4 us..
btw u knw sihs ka gd pi nd admission will b done evn b4 tiss's pi...

ya agreed let us see how it goes...

u r from a background of chemistry..
i dont think banking management would be much helpful for u..
u can try applying for institutes like SIMS, SIIB, SIMC (if u have gud communication skills), SIOM.... but apply to SIHSat the same time which would be a better option for u..
it is upto u to decide from wide variety of institutes to select ur desirable one..
nywyz gud luck

friend, can you tell me what is the average package in SIHS. AND IS THE PLACEMENT 100%.
i am a dentist and my snap score is between 90-95.which institutes should i apply for apart from sihs.
friend i also want to know about other good colleges in health administration for which admission process is open. i missed TISS.

since ur score is 90-95... u should also try siib or sims..
besides its too late for u to giv any other xam..
give MAT februaury... if u havnt any given previous one...
Besides here are sum of d colleges i know..

Healthcare/Hosp. management:

IIHMR--- Jaipur, Bangalore, New Delhi
AIIMS,
Apollo Hospitals(very few seats-- not corporate)
TISS
FMS Delhi (but this requires 5 yrs of workex and is a 3 yr part time programme afaik)
SIHS

Pharma management: I am only aware of NMIMS, mumbai and SIES, Navi Mumbai, which offer a programme in pharma management. Rest I am not aware of.
for Nmims-- nmat is the xam
for SIES-- MAT (Dec) or MAH-CET

I don't think there is much of a difference in the programmes and also the placements/roles thereafter. But you can get into Hosp/healthcare/pharma management jobs even after a regular MBA. That would also help you keep your options open. Plus the quality of peers will be better in say a top 20 B-School than say at a school specialized in providing healthcare management training.

Just give it a thought :)

Cheers,
Kishor
