Sibm-bangalore ge/pi related discussions

Ok guys...sorry for not replying to your messages, calls etc.. I was giving my exam from 10-12:30 pm.

Anyways..

Update: Results are coming today... most probably before evening...
Check the home page (most probably on the right hand side between the links called "University Notifications" and the symbeat/Placement report e books..
Do not check it and keep reloading for sometime as it will take a few hours at least to get uploaded, tested etc...

Please have patience today... If you make it through don't loose your humility and if you dont then may be there is a better opportunity waiting for you...

I might be little late in replying to all your queries today as well (feeling damn sleepy) so please have patience.. will reply to all your queries in my capacity as soon as possible.

ALL THE BEST 😃 😃

OK. Thanks for the info
My overly-optimistic self must have inflated the figure in my head to save me a coronary.

And all the best!!

150 is for open category, plus various quotas like DA, KM, PH, SC,ST etc make it around 170 (max is 180 as per Univ.)

How many exact no. of seats for Sc candidates?

Found it on the website. I was just flipping through it and I'm impressed! Although it was physically painful to read the Book Review. I'm an Ayn Rand fan and in a desperate attempt to connect 'The Fountainhead' with the Corporate world, the review fails to encapsulate the core philosophy of the author. Above all, I fail to understand how anyone can glorify a second-hander like Peter Keating- that man represents everything a person shouldn't be.(With due respect to the people who wrote the review of course. I understand that a review is a reflection of a single individual's perception about that book.)By the way, just out of curiosity- @nikhilbrad Are you the Nikhil who was there at the Noida GD/PI process?
That was the challenge given to the writer- to write about something he did not believe in and yet try to make it look justified.. We keep on trying things at symbeat.

And I was not there at Noida (only Pune and Bangalore)... in Noida you had Neeraj Gandhi as the presenter.

No idea about that... sorry.

@AintSaint You have less of an automatic imagination than you think.

Hello Seniors,What happens when i take an admission into SIBM-B now and i convert some other Symbi College in the future? Is it possible to transfer the amount from College to College? Also, would i be losing the Induction Amount - Rs 30000 for sure? Or would it be transferred too?@nikhilbrad
Ok guys, just got a confirmation about fee refund...

If you take admission into SIBM B and pay the fees and then cancel the admission to go into any other college (including symbi institutes), a sum of Rs 31000 ( 30000 of online PIP and 1000 deduction) will be deducted as the online Preinduction program is different for each college.

Sorry if I gave any other replies before.. All the above info in detail would be given to all those who get a convert in the mail they will get from admissions.

Lol. Thankfully, yes! For a moment, I was wondering if they've either reduced their student intake or should I reduce my caffeine intake because it's obviously messing with my long term memory.

If that were the case, then kudos to the writer.

I remember Neeraj. There was this other guy whose name was Nikhil (as per my flawed memory).
Anyway, I was just trying to connect a name with a face. Not a big deal.

Well, it is the individual's perception, you are correct. But as is the case with almost every magazine, people do stretch the truth a bit or mould ideas to fit a certain theme. My apologies if you thought it to be so scandalous!

And yes, it was the same Nikhil

Well, scandalous would be a bit of an overstatement.
I guess an author's work is like a certain cuisine. Some people would find it delicious and others might find it bland and unpalatable.
I read reviews with a pinch of salt but this time around, I just couldn't find my salt shaker.
And I genuinely dislike her philosophy being misunderstood and misrepresented. Hence, my reaction.

Well, I normally do not read Book reviews. This coming from a guy who helped design the magazine. But truth be told, I do not read book reviews. Instead I read the book. It only helps to expand your vista of knowledge and as we all know, knowledge is power!

Book Reviews, like movie reviews are the author's portrayal of his/her ideas and how the words affect the person specifically. Although it might cascade onto the larger belief and perception of people, the best way forward is to try and read/watch the book/movie.

I guess we're deviating from the general ethos of this forum and this thread so to bring the misguided train of thought back on track; all the best to everybody! Hope you get what you deserve today!
