I think it will be too preemptive for me to talk about your placement in 2015. First convert the call, join the college of your choice, evaluate what specialization you want to choose and only then think of placements in a specific domain.
I mean, in 2 years, you may very well wanna join some Bank or even an Advertising firm!
Also, IT Cos have showed enough confidence in us and have offered various roles to all the specializations at SIBM B. So, dont worry bout that now!

@nikhilbrad i dont want it to be postponed infact i want the results to come as soon as possible...have to make some decisions soon which will depend upon this result...so that's why i was asking abt the final date of the result....so is 13 the final date of the results????

Suppose you convert in college A within SIU. You pay their fees and then convert college B.
If you want to transfer your money from A to B, then:
1. Start

2.Mail college B that you want to transfer the money deposited to college A.
3. Keep college A admissions deptt in cc in that mail
4. The balance amount if any, is to be paid by you to college B within the stipulated time.
5. As soon as the money is transferred from A to B, you will be informed by the respective authorities.
6. End

But the non-refundable part would be deducted right? and that's like more than 30k bucks!!
@shayon62 I also have the same query,,,i think that only 30k will be deducted out of 2.4 lac to be paid as first installment but it would be better if seniors clear this up!!!

!!! I think thats a lot of money. At least for me it is!! This is the very reason why I did not pay up after converting SCIT. Waiting for the next list of SIIB & for SIBM-B's merit list.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're solely interested in institutes under SIU, these 30,000 bucks can be adjusted afterwards. For example, if you had paid a certain amount to SCIT and then decided to take admission in SIBM-B, the SCIT peeps would've deducted Rs 1000 and would've adjusted 30,000 bucks with SIBM-B. So you just end up losing Rs 1000, which is not that big an amount for securing a seat.

True..Fee transfer among Symbi institutes is possible and only 1k is deducted. However there are certain dates before you need to do that.. Will post them as soon as the merit list comes..

That is not what seniors of SCIT & SIIB are saying. They are saying that the pre-induction fee i.e 30k + 1000 would be deducted if I withdraw admission & get admitted in another of Symbi institutes. I would be very happy if what u said is true.

Afai remember, till last year we were adjusting the full amount -1000 within symbi colleges. Am pretty sure about this still would like to confirm this..

Historically, there's no fixed time it comes out. It needs to get signed off by the main university and then gets released. Might take time. But I'd say sometime in the evening.

Marketing of Finance. I'd say Marketing because we do get companies offering Pre-Sales and Sales profiles in the IT domain, which from your post, you prefer. Also, in case you somehow come to realise that IT isnt for you, other avenues would be open as well.
But also do read what Nikhil mentioned a page earlier. Do not make hard-set decisions and come for your MBA. You only narrow your own scope
