Arey.. last line hi dekho.. It says.. Darwin was late to the party => Hence, Someone else too believed those things which he later gave in his findings! Hence the statement, His Grandfather, and others before him had done the same is APT! But still, How do you get the bloody TONE of passage! :/

Sir ....yar last sentence dekho "But Darwin was late to the party"....to party main koi pehle se hoga....so going with the tone of the passage and last sentence we can say D would be the best option.....

Acttly, they don't really need a good closing sentence.. bas any thing matching the tone.. and impying the passage itself.. suffices for it!

arey u can always check by keeping ur option as the last sentence n reading the whole para again..tumhe khud odd lagega. yahan dekho, he's brought up the idea of 'ancestry n blah blah'..then says Darwin is late to the party..fir "Darwin must go"? kyu bhai? late samjha wo to bhaga kyu dena chahiye use? moreover when there are closer n better options, to wo choose karo which carries the tone of the passage in a better way. nai?

no pa u cannot stick to jus one word here (kill 😛 )..overall le k chalna padega. and moreover, bout the killing thing..the author already concludes (from the sentence "so let us kill Darwin"). uske baad ka content thoda alag hai.
