@YouMadFellow
A triangle has a perimeter of P units.If all the sides are integers,then find the no of possibilities for sides when P=30
1)19
2)114
3)38
4)57
5)36

Thik hai, ye solve karo.
Ques: Find the first meeting of two runners, who started from a point A in opposite direction, with speeds in the ratio 3:5

19?
I mean 19 possible tringles
I mean 19 possible tringles
:D

Method??Humara bhi aaya aur correct hain par humne ekdum brute force lagaya.Agar koi accha method hain toh post kardo yaar

total meeting points will be 8
so L/8 , 2L/8 , 3L/8, 4L/8, 5L/8, 6L/8, 7L/8, L..
L/8 is the first meeting point :)

19 ?
x + y + z = 30
z = 1, Not possible
z = 2 -> 1 ( 14,14,2)
and so on till z = 8 ( 4 triangles)
+ one equilateral triangle (10,10,10) . Total = 19

Tn = (n+3)^2/ 48 when n is odd
Tn = n^2/48 when n is even
here n=30

[ P^2 /48 ] if P is even and [(P+3)^2/48] when P is odd..here P is the parameter and [] is the floor function
isko bhi quant thread bna do π :D

For first meeting point :
d/(5x) = (2pi*r - d) / 3x
=> d = 2pi*r * 5/8 => d/2pi*r = 5/8
Lunch time :)

oops sorry I made a mistake for the first meeting point..ty for pointing out..:)

Hai rabba iss nadaan se question main tumne yeh vinaashkaari function kaha se nikaal diya quant raja??Hume bhi thoda gyaan do
@YouMadFellow said:For first meeting point :d/(5x) = (2pi*r - d) / 3x=> d = 2pi*r * 5/8 => d/2pi*r = 5/8
and I guess Examiner will mention whether clockwise or anticlockwise..or is there some convention for this?

Humne bhi yahi method se kiya par udhar to ek bhayank sa method aa gaya complete with ceiling function and all

first meeting point to 3L/8 hoga kitne honge toal confusiya gaya hun
@anupam001 said:first meeting point to 3L/8 hoga kitne honge toal confusiya gaya hun
for the first meeting point we are suppose to equate the time only I guess
so let say speed are 3x and 5x then time taken by both should be equal
i.e d/3x = (L-d)/5x
d = 3(L-d)/5
8d = 3L
d = 3L/8
yes sir yahi aa raha h..and if if take from other direction it will be 5l/8
so woh bhi galat nahi h ..:D

m+n when running in opposite direction and here m and n should be co-prime
m-n when same
if the speed of A ,B and C are in the ratio 2:3:5.
A and B are running in clockwise direction and C in anticlockwise direction then find the total number of distinct meeting points?@anupam001
