See maine ek logic "Invent" kiya h... Tarun's speed is 4/min and escalator is pushing him down with the speed of 2/min.. So his relative speed will be 6/min.... total time= 60/6 = 10 so total steps= 10*4......!!

Ram and Tarun/Sameer, jo bhi hai.. Unki relative speeds will be added, because they are moving in opposite directions.. right ?
=> Relative speed = 4+ 2/1 i.e. 6/5
Ab meeting time with Tarun = 60/6 = 10 secs .. and meeting time with Sameer = 60/5 = 12 secs... utne time me tarun kitna chalega ? Speed * Time = 4*10 = 40 steps / 4*12 = 48 steps
Ab net result in those cases will be 40 - 2*10 = 20 steps and 48-2*12 = 24 steps..
So, ek insaan jo ki chup chap ground pe khada hokar dekh raha hai tamasha.. wo dekhega ki Tarun to sirf 20 or 24 steps upar gaya hai.. jabki .. Tarun ne khud ne mehnat karke 40/48 steps chale hai.. bechare ki mehnat ki thodi to kadar kar lo !
but Sameer to bechaara upar hi khda h.. Tarun hi us se milne ja ra h upar..
