Hi puys!!
I am starting this thread for those who have given CAT multiple times (more than 2 attempts)before but couldn't get what they wanted.
In this thread we can discuss where we went wrong in our previous attempts and what can be done to avoid failure again.
As we all know ,after so many failures it's hard to keep motivate yourself so we can share our feelings ,thoughts and opinions here and also prepare for the next season.
If anybody is interested then plz continue here...
Thanks
To add to above post....I myself have given CAT 4times before but couldn't get through IIMs or top 10 colleges...
Guys like me can also share their thoughts and feelings so that we can draw some course of action for next season...
Plz reply
Thanks

Hi buddy!
how many times u have tried???
what you feel is the area where we are lagging?
I think we can form a group and discuss the same ....
What's say??
Hi All
I have given CAT three times before
Never scored more then 60%.
Really want a good college this time.
And still confused wether again should i go for coaching or test series.
Its a very scary situation as we are growing old...
leaving job and preparing also is not a very good idea in my views..
And biggest doubt is - will i make it large this year?????????

Buddy....first of all ...don't be disheartened.....You have failed three times but it doesn't mean that you would fail in your 4th attempt also....
As far as age is concerned then it is not a matter of conern as B-schools don't consider age as a factor while giving admission...
and why not think positive.....next year u would be having more experience and that would be an added advantage...
You should find out which area u r lagging in ....and then concentrate on that .....
You can find a number of inspirational stories in AIWTSAC where people have got admission in their 4-5 attempts into very good colleges...
So dn't loose hope and prepare well...
Though I am new to PG ,I have seen a number of puys like naga_25_french,Think Ace,subhakimi,seba_caterpillar etc who have attempted cat before a number of times but couldn't get what they wanted but still they are fighting hard to get into their dream college...
I would request such people on PG to come into this thread and share their views on that...
It would not only motivate people like us but also pave way for future course of action...
After all ....only guys who are in similar situation can support each other very well....:|

So puneet ....are u planning for CAT again ??
I myself have given CAT 4 times before....Last time got 97%ile but left all calls and this time I got very unexpected score....
I think we should form a sort of group where we can decide what to do next, what are all options available to us and much more....
We can also plan a meet ...
what say puys..
Hey I have given CAT... 1st time just for the sake of getting to the pattern in 2009.
2nd time studied but not a wholehearted prep. 2010
3rd time joined a coaching but scored way below the 1st two attempts...
this will be my fourth time...
I think first 2 times - i bombed because of lack of preps.
the 3rd time was that i got demotivated just before CAT and then bombed... I dont blame normalization... it is that if you are prepared and have good speed and accuracy then you will definately clear it.
Still a bit demotivated as I am searching for a good accomodation. But studying little (very little) everyday...

buddy ...I am also like yours.....
I first time gave CAT in 2008 ....but my first three two attempts were not serious as I was satisfied with my job....
Third time ,I gave CAT with good preparation and converted some colleges too but though of giving cat once again....and this time normalisation did me in...I was scoring well in mocks and my CAT exam also went well but couldn't get good score...
I think CAT is quite unpredictable with normalisation so we should target other exams too like IIFT, XAT etc this time around...
and this time I think CMAT exam would also include good colleges and that can also be targeted.
and one thing ...Don't be demotivated bro...as "success is never ending and failures are not permanent". hope for the best...:)
Yaar ek bohot zyada motivational dialogue suna maine.... when i was watching roadies chandigarh audition...
This is a sentence said by Mohammed Ali while being interviewed.
Q- Sir, you have won all the fights that you have fought, won many medals for the fights. So why do you work out and train yourself everyday? What keeps you going?
Mohammed Ali - When I do not train myself everyday, I know that someone else will be training more than me to Kick my A**. That's what keeps me going.
A bit off topic but very motivational
