Team, my profile is OA-93.82, General, Male, 1.5 year experience. If I attempt CAT next year would that affect placements in a decent B-school, as I will be having 30 months IT exp by then??

calls from a,b,c possible??

Do IIM's use some normalisation/equalisation method to shortlist the candidates belonging to different educational boards? Because a candidate from CBSE/ICSE board might be able to secure a higher per centage which the State Board candidate might find it difficult?

Guys, Need a bit of clarity about AR (Application rating). Does IIM A call everyone who scores above the AR? or does it depend on the number of seats?

What are the chances of getting A B C L calls?

IIM-A list tomorrow. "excited" 😁

Hi guys,

I wanted to convert my GPA to percentage in order to get my AR score. My college doesn't have any conversion formula to convert CGPA to Percentage. I have a certificate from my college stating the following:

"There is no equivalence between CGPA scale and percentage. However, CGPA > 6.5 can be considered as equivalence to First Class and 5.5 ".

So my question is how should I convert my CGPA to percentage. Should I multiply it with 10? (Max. CGPA is 10)

Following is the expert from the IIMA admission document. It says a original equivalence certificate to submitted at the time of interview. So if I multiply my CGPA by 10 and produce the above mentioned certificate, will that be ok?

"If any board/institute/university awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the board/institute/university specifying the equivalent marks which should be used for filling the online CAT application form. The original equivalence certificate needs to be submitted at the time of interview, if shortlisted for the same"

P.S.: I know shortlist ain't out yet, but I'm just making everything clear before hand if my I get shortlisted. It's A after all.

I know most of you may be waiting for the XAT to be over in order to kickstart the bigger half of your preparation (GDPI WAT contributes between 40-70% of total marks!). In case you are poor in Economics related matters (the most important subject to brush up..), you can go through these slides. I had attended this session and I have the permission to upload it here
