last time quant section ka cutoff kitna tha?
Now 5 days past....so in next 6 days result must be out .........Any body any idea about interview things....what to read?.....Financial statement... valuation methods... financial instruments.,,,,QAF...economics....FRM....????
as per my analysis according to previous cut off would be OBC-between 107-110 FOR SC 101-105 FOR ST 80-90
justification- as I shared total no of candidates is very less and present exam is not as easy as previous exams.
previously toper was 164 and least was 91, In this exam I think few candidate have attempted more then 150. manjor no candidate have attempted between 130 to 145 as per some blogs...this analysis is purely based on my mind so dont ask for source..
Can ou guys tell me if all the interviews happen in Mumbai, or they divide it in 4 zones???
- CS/ICWA/Mcom/m eco
- MBA Finance top college
- CA
- MBA finance normal college
- MBA other streams

Posting my interview experience, it was a generic HR interview with little bit of finance. Since interviews have long been over, I hope SEBI official will not mind it as well
P2: So you are working with MNC, I suppose then.... (a light joke)
P2: What do you do at this MNC?
P1: So you have good profile, good brand and I suppose a good pay...then why do you want to come to SEBI?
Me: explained...was prepared for it. But the answer got little long..
P1: (stopping me in between)..no no you have given me a long answer, just tell me...(he asked something which I am not able to recollect now)
P1: ok tell me 2 good things about yourself?
Me: told him ...broadly circulating around honesty and positive thinking
P1: ok so if you think you are honest, rate yourself out of 10?
Me: Sir, I think it would be 7.
P1: Why 7 and why not 8 or 9?
Me: Sir, I think I am yet to achieve something in life. This is a learning phase....spoke for some more seconds
P2: What is ETF?
Me: told him
P3 walked in (he was not on the paP3: I heard you traded on stock markets and you have turned wiser now (they all smiled).
Me: No Sir, I just wanted to say that I have learnt that only way to make money is long term investment and not trading. Still to learn a lot more..
P3: ok, so what would you advise a retail investor. How should he invest?
Me: told him about long term investing, diversification, enter only through mutual funds, choose funds correctly, track record of fund managers.
P3: But you are not a first time investor. So you invest directly in stocks?
Me: No sir, I take the SIP route. I find it more comfortable and have got good returns
P1: I was hearing an analyst mention on a business channel, that retail investors should start investing even though sensex is at 21K. What would you say?
Me: Sir, I will agree. Told him how sensex is still cheap for FII as rupee has depreciated by over 50% since last time sensex was on 21k.
Also, retail investor should not time markets. If they have funds which are idle for 3-4 years they should invest.
P3: What kind of returns have you got on your personal funds? Which all funds you invest in?
Me: told him
P2: what do you understand by circuit?
Me: told him
P2: you know there is a index which measures ease of doing business in various countries. Recently a committee has been formed by the government to improve ease of doing business in India. What do you think are the parameters used in this measure?
Me: political stability, incentives, days to start a business....was thinking
P2: what about taxation, judiaciry
Me: yes sir, they are important measure
P3: do you understand derivatives?
Me: (I was very cautious, derivatives have always confused me)...so I said' A little Sir'
P3: A little...ok so tell me what is ISDA?
Me: (I am so confused with derivatives that I did the worst blunder here)..i said sorry sir I am not able to recollect. (but I had an idea that it's a derivatives association.
P3: ok.
P2: There was a former SEBI Chairman Damodran. Have you heard of him?
Me: yes, Sir I have heard about Mr. M. Damodran
P2: He is heading that committee on ease of doing business I was talking about.
Me: Okay (I realized this was just for my information and he didn't really mean to ask anything).
P2: Thats it. thank you.

Prepared well for it P1: What sort for health issues forced you to quit your job? Me: Answered P2: So how your profile can be useful for SEBI? Me: while answering P3 entered the room... I was answering it in full confidence when he interrupted me and asked about the Netflix's CEO Fiasco on Social Media... I answered it conveniently... P2: So don't you think Social Media is more 'Evil' and less 'Good' ?
