Chill guys! Why are you spending so much time analysing no. of candidates appeared, cut-off prediction etc. I think SEBI will try to finish interviews before Diwali. So the results would be out within 10-12 days. So just relax for some time and focus on interview preparation.

P.S.: This is pure speculation. I have no inside sources in SEBI.

best of luck for interview prep guys. those of you who are confident can surely begin with Finance as it will complement you RBI phase 2 prep. MBAs can and should prepare finance well. Economics is other important subject for RBI and it will help you for RBI phase 2 also. Current affairs pertaining to Financial markets is pretty crucial. I am sure once u guys make it to the interviews you will find that these people actually want finance mavericks.

Anyone here given exam for legal post?

i think in reasoning section....floor wala and seating arrangement puzzle was wrong..... I wasted my 15 mins there ....any1 attempted?

anybdy registered for SEBI on 7th september i.e. last day

WWhat would be the cut off for OBC any idea guys

its confirmed

total no of regstrns = 16k

final selection  last time kitne no main hua tha...? intv+test

so as per new analysis

9882 have registered

out of this 5500 will be for for General Stream

out of 5500 2500 will be OBCs

1.5k SC and ST each

so cut of shud be less than 120 at any cost

EXPECTED CUTOFFS.....ANY IDEA...KOI HAI

In 2013 in total 1,00,000 poeple applied for 75 posts. Read the article

Of these 80-90% would have appeared in the exam, as is in general the case with occupancy these days. So, it is a big ticket exam, with many candidates. But I understand that even with age relaxation for SC/ST/OBCs there shouldn't have been more than 50,000 OBC/SC/ST candidates, as there is less awareness about such jobs and lesser Post grads in these categories vis-a-vis UR cat.

Demographically, there are good numbers of candidates from Top B schools, but they are equally vulnerable as much is expected out of them. Much safer is the case with M Coms/MA Eco/CAs as these people have in general good hold on their subjects.

SEBI interview unlike RBI Gr B is lazer sharp and can cut u in half. U either fail it or pass it. Seldom will you find people who passed the interview and got rejected. Thats the beauty of the process - sheer power in interview panel's command. The pre becomes more of a qualifying condition.

It would be better now to study for RBI Gr B Phase 1 and 2 and SEBI interview simultaneously rather than predicting the cutoffs. Allah jane kya cutoff hai. But SEBI panel can fail u, this I can tell.

The competition should be and will be tough. It doesn't matter whether there are 5000 applicants or 50000 because the cutoff is decided by top 3x candidate's score (x being the no of seats in that category). As far as this exam is concerned there are better candidates than before in fray. So guys, tighten you seat belts.
