Everyone would feel their college is the best. I am doing my UG from symbiosis, even I feel my college is the best with how transparent they are (wrt attendance/results), how flexible they are blah blah blah, but "best college" and "top b-school" are relative terms, so to claim that you've to experience other b-schools as well. I am not saying SCMLD is bad, it is good indeed, but still not the number 1 in Pune at least.
I am not proving that it is no. 1 ... bt the students here are made like this can beat others ..........
Even IIMs are talking about SCMLD and regularly ask about the processes going here.......... Prof. MS Pillai is creating corporate commandos here .............. Most of the people forget ethics when go into the corporates they have a lot of attitude but it is totally opposite with the Sadhanites ....... People in the industry want to recruit students of Sadhana,.................. But my dear surviving here is really a hard task .....Thats why Sir always says Dont come here if u are thinking that SCMLD is similar to other colleges .......its very different from others.... it is a gurukul rather than a college ... with 7 days working and 365 days a year whole working .......... no holidays .................... nd we follow it....

Pune, January 14: Amidst pin-drop silence and with concentration writ large on their faces, the students keenly absorbed every word uttered by their professor. Only, this was no ordinary lecture, but a successful group attempt by Pune-based management students at memorising random objects, which earned them a new world record on Sunday.
The feat Salam Kalam in honour of President A P J Abdul Kalam saw 85 postgraduate students from the citys Sadhana Center for Management and Leadership Development (SCMLD) set new benchmarks, by memorising and recollecting over 250 random objects in a correct sequence. With this, the students have outstripped the existing Guinness record of individually recalling 225 random objects, which is currently held by an Indian.
While 163 students took a shot at the record, 85 have managed to successfully qualify for the event. The existing Guinness record is by an individual, while this is a group attempt, stated VVR Murty an official from the Limca Book of Records who monitored the proceedings.
The event was conducted under set guidelines and involved strict oversight by specially appointed invigilators. Students who missed the first attempt by an error of not more than one word, were allowed a second chance at the record, in keeping with international guidelines.
The feat was accomplished after arduous three month long preparations by the students, and involved learning a new technique of memorising through visualisation. Explains student Rishi Chotani, who at 12 minutes, was the first to successfully recall all the words, We learnt to remember words by forming unusual storylines that connected them in a particular order. While we started off with memorising just 10 to 20 words, most of us can now manage over 250. This has been possible through hour-long practice sessions over several months.
Despite several distractions, the students managed to retain their focus and concentration, making the feat all the more significant. In a group attempt, there are always more noises, and hence, we had to practice techniques like meditation to stay focused, says Chotani.
While the feat may be an instant claim to fame for these youngsters, their newly acquired memorising techniques promise to stand them in good stead in academics as well. Says P Mahadevan, visiting faculty to SCMLD and HRD professional, This technique can be useful to students while memorising everything from statistical information to mathematical or chemical equations. We expect their academic scores to improve significantly by adopting this method while studying.
Academics apart, students are thrilled at the possibilities of applying their newfound skills. With this method, I can ensure that I never miss a friends birthday or forget an important telephone number, smiles 21-year-old student Simpal Jain.

please dont waste ur time in getting in to this non aicte approved institute,
Try for snap (top3 colleges) and cet(top 5-7)
If u dont beleive in aicte ii_:wow:pm is the better option

SCMLD is for all "willing to learn" Business & not just getting a piece of paper (MBA degree).The corporate is not looking weather your college is aicte approved or not ,they are looking for attitude,confidence,skill sets and employbility.Now enriching you with a few facts from 2000-2009 the capacity intake of M.B.A colleges has gone upto 74% but the employbility is still approx 15%,so choose wisely.
SCMLD is also affiliated with IGNOU which would give you an m.b.a degree.I hope you are aware of Prof M.s Pillai the director of our college and one who created SCMHRD.If in case of any further doubts let us know,will be glad to reply you back.

SCMLD is not approved from AICTE However i'd like to tell you it provides IGNOU's degree and two, one year diploma's in management and leadership development...
The curriculum is Definitely one of the best in the country....then you have various other kinds of certifications like Certified Financial Planner, Systems thinking, Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM),Career Development Skills Programme, Business Dynamics...so on so forth....
See i can tell a lot of ways how you can get AICTE approval & Proff. Pillai(our director) can tell you all those filthy realities about it, thats why i guess he is against it and fighting against the system....
All n all Sadhana is a lot about which other conventional b-schools are not and you may find very essential things which you perceive are necessary for a b-school are not there...thats exactly what makes SCMLD one of its kind..
Placements are going reasonably good around 70 students have been already placed apart from students who choose to an entrepreneur with an average package of 4.5lacs
How much is the intake this year ?
Last year it was 180 ....so most probably this year also it will remain same.....

yeah its decently OK...however if you have potential you can get yourself a good package..
we have HSBC, ITC, HDFC, ICICI, FUTURE Group, TATA technologies, Eclerx so on n so forth...
