The program fees is approx CAD 60,000 but this will change if you get a scholarship. The cost of living is approx CAD 1500 per month... Below are some details Schulich provides for the expenses

I checked the site and it says
An acceptable score on all four measurements of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

Can anyone throw some light what is an acceptable score. And usually cut off for indian students tend to be higher. So, what is an acceptable score for an Indian candidate?

It depends on your overall profile.. A score of 640 with 3-4 years of exp is acceptable... They do give preference to few years of work experience..

I have applied to Schulich 2012 winter session. I applied long back in June 2011, still awaiting reply. Can some more people throw light on admission offers. A friend of mine who passed out last year from Schulich told me that she go her offer by 20th Sept for Winter 2010. I am getting nervous now.

GMAT: 610 (48Q,26v,5AWA)
IELTS: 7.5
B.Sc: 1st Class
MBA: 1st Class
11.5 Years Experience
Currently working as Senior Manager in a leading telecom company in Pune. Purely sales and Marketing role, leading Maharashtra's Key Accounts Team

I got a reply from Wendy Peever this morning....

"In reference to your application to the MBA program, your file has now been reviewed.

Due to the increase in competition for Winter 2012, the Committee decided to put your application forward to the next round for review scheduled in October. We will contact you by e-mail shortly after this meeting regarding the status of your application."

I guess my 610 score is an hindrance, what do you say guyz? also, does this mail mean that my application is put on hold? if yes, then I am very nervous.:banghead:

You are right this means that your application is put on hold for the Fall session in 2012.. Wendy Peever will send you email whether you want your application to be considered in the fall session or not?? I think that GMAT score should the issue...

How much experience you have?? They usually prefer 3-4 yrs plus exp people...

Rohit,

All the best mate! Right now, it looks like it's put on hold and if you get through the fall batch, it's blessing in disguise because the fall intake is better in terms of syncing with internships and placement timings. Also, would it be a bad idea to repeat GMAT and get a 660+?

I have 11.5 Years of Experience purely into sales and marketing. currently working for a Leading Indian Telecom Company in pune as Regional Head - Key Accounts. i appeared for GMAT twice but could not make much of a difference. 610/600 in two attempts. It was difficult for me esp after remaining our of touch with books for 11 years. I know few people who got through in Schulich with sub 600 score, that is why i thot i should take a chance.
