25th Sept, 2015: Lost my brother due to a chronic disease, traumatic, shocked and disgruntled. Left my job at Deloitte and came back to Indore. Joined a job which had timings of 6.30am-3.30pm.
March, 2016: Started preparing for SSC CGL as my primary target. Banking was nowhere in picture by then. CGL was postponed, started preparing for SBI PO and was enamoured by the challenges one encounters to clear this exam.
Cleared Phase-I
Cleared Phase-II
Cleared Interview.
Yes, I am a Probationary officer in SBI now in my first attempt.
How this became possible?
There was someone in my life who ultimately chosen this guy from SBI which fuelled the anger inside me and I made it possible along with my job.
If you think you want to do it, yes, it can be made possible. It is just a matter of belief and confidence.
Yes, I was lucky on ocassions and I had an awesome family support.

STATUTORY WARNING: This post might de-motivate PO 2016 people.
Hello everybody, I too got selected as SBI PO this year and got alloted Bhubaneswar circle. But after talking to numerous PO's ( who are currently working) I am really having second thoughts. What I have realised is
1. Very bad postings, sometimes in place where there are power cuts for 12 hours a day.
2. You are an officer just by designation. You will be doing clerical work only.
3.Timings are pretty harsh. 9am-9pm in most branches. Lunch time is a myth apparently.
4.High workload every day. Even if you give 110% you wont be able to complete all tasks as there is a lot of pending work.
5. Life becomes hell after becoming permanent. You would be given PMJDY accounts target. cross selling targets. loan targets, insurance target. Manager wold constantly pressurise you to achieve them. Manager is helpless as he is inturn pressurised by his RM.
6 .Zero social life.
Look I definitely admit that SBI job is a very prestigious job and cracking it really proves one's mettle. To work for the biggest banking behemoth in India is an honour only few achieve. But is this the life I envisage for myself?
P.S. I also have an offer from TCS.
When can one avail furniture allowances?
