Guys... here is the breakup of the category wise selected candidates in main exam....dont ask for source.. I converted the pdf file into excel and used a few formula and literally counted it spending more than a hour..
You can also cross verify if u want and if u can,,
the catagory codes are
1. General - 13
2. OBC - 09
3. SC - 01
4. ST - 05
These are given in the 2nd page of recruitment advertisement and it is the 4th and 5th digit of ouur roll no...
The break up is as follows...
1. General - 2482 (vaccancy - 1028, Ratio 1:2.4)
2. OBC - 1772 (Vaccancy - 590, Ratio 1:3)
3. SC - 387 (Vaccancy - 351, Ratio 1:1.1)
4. ST - 43 (Vaccancy - 231, Candidates lesser than vaccancy)
5. others (OH, VI, HI) - 83 (Vaccaancy - 60, Ratio 1:1.4)

Can someone explain the meaning of backlog vacancies ?
In the bio data form for Referees I have given the names of my relatives and have now come to know that we shouldn't . Will I have a chance to change those anytime before they send out forms to referees? Anyone from previous batches or with knowledge about this clarify about this?
There are endless claims of expected cutoff. Speculative people vouch for 140/250. That is absolutely ridiculous. By cutoff we mean the last candidate qualifying in that category. If cutoff was 140 then it translates to 42 /75. Then 42 + 16(which is achievable by an average candidate in GDPI) is 58......NOW COME ON MAN....58??? After all that was last year's cutoff!!!! And finally SBI HAS NO "HIGH STANDARDS" ; the candidates do have standards. The cutoff is dependent on the candidates(performance) not otherwise! SO WHOEVER YOU ARE REGARDLESS OF ATTEMPTS STAY PUT...YOU HAVE A CHANCE....CUT OFF PREDICTION : 110-120/250. FINAL 52(+OR - 2)
According to break given by some one ,all the competition is in General category. The ratio given 1: 2.4 is is an illusion for general category, it is actually 1: 4.64 as for the general category seats all the selected students in main exam will compete which is 1028 : 4767. So those who are in general category have least probabilty of getting selected.
I am not demotivating any one, just keeping my point of view
In my opinion, any candidates belongs to ST,SC,OBC and they qualified under General category means they have 100% chances.
Because they are cleared general category cut off being ST, SC, OBC means they have crossed their reservation cutoff with more marks.

For so many days I was so relieved...today all of a sudden , getting tensed thinking about result...already 26 I am..have to clear it this time...that sbi clerk exam that I have given gives to soothing feeling though.
