hi i appeared for today morning exam in hyd same inst where i appeared and cracked cat

there are some twists and turns in the exam

attempted 134 

ga was easy but very few marketing and computers ques confusing

being a finance grad i didnt face hurdle in banking

reasoning selection of questions is imp infact this selection makes you in or out of the exam

di was doable but lengthy

verbal was easy especially words 

if anybody want whole paper analysis just post here i am ready to help reply may be late but i ll surely revert

only imp this question selection question selection question selection

maintain nerve u ll easily sail through 

in di some questions need no calculation only common sense

A hell of exam......18 slots and varied level of difficulty across slots....

Those who are saying Normalization will take place and it'll save our A** ; First of all let's hope so but let me tell you about last year IBPS PO exam ( in case u forgot ) .... A great amount of variation in difficulty level was there and it was written in the advertisement that they will finally arrive at TWSS (total weighted standard score).....But finally what they did..... simply added the scores( no normalization). 

then some people will say... this is not IBPS ....this is SBI......To them --- bro, as far as I know.... both exam is conducted through IBPS and by TCS....  sbi only may have provided the pattern of questions to TCS and questions are set by tcs ( same as IBPS).....!!!

Expecting some sharp reactions.... 😛

pals i think dat people who went on 14th definitely had a big disadvantage as they were completely unaware of di difficulty pattern.a lot including me were not very precise about where to read ga from.now every1 knows sites to refer ga and people are attempting 40-50 in this section.also people are now trying to svore more in eng and logical as they know the trend.so i dont knoe whether all dese will be covered by normalisation or not.

my paper was

eng-49(little guess in questions like choose the words with similar meaning and rcs)

logical-35

gk-37(i did guess work as just wanted to clear cut off)

di finally-17

disaster(2-3)guesses,also i got blank and wasted approx 20 minutes without doing anyrhing in which i could have attempted remaining logical paper which i had left bcoz of time.

Read the following informations carefully and answer the questions given below.

In a ship, there are total 1680 passengers. Out of these, the ratio of males and females is 7:5 respectively. All passengers go to Britain, France and London. One-fifth males go to only France. Twenty percent females go to only London. Ten percent males go to only Britain. 24 percent females go to Britain and France both. The number of females going to only Britain is two hundred percent of the number of males going to the same country. One-fourteenth males go to all the three countries. 22nd Afternoon slot..

Started with GA, computer and current affairs were doable, marketing hard and indirect, no direct question, gone are the days of bookish knowledge and direct questions, they are trying to judge ur grasp over concepts, no question was same as given in book or capsule..,. 😏 

no.of questions  - computer + marketing around 35, current affairs around 10, banking around 5.

est. attempt - 40, actual attempt - 32 / estimated time 5-7 min, actual time 15 mins..  😰 

some of the questions were = (Author of the book Accidental Prime Minister, who led Indian delegation to Cannes, pakistan batting coach, 1 million bytes = , below 10 yrs of age children can have a facility of - (credit card, debit card, atm, cheque book) , 4Cs of marketing, one related floating interest rate, A link between operating system and end user - (peripheral device, output, input), one question about RuPay, New Amul Plant in which city - Varanasi, etc)..

Overall level = computer -easy, current affairs - easy, marketing -hard, banking -moderate

I m running 10 minutes behind my plan 😠 


Switched to English,

Only solved syno-anto of RC - moderate, One para-jumble, 6 lines having one an half lines each - easy, but couldn't find last sentence. Two blanks filling - easy, paragraph blanks - easy. 

Overall level = easy to moderate

est.attempt - 30, actual attempt 30, / est.time 12-13 min, actual time 20 min.

I m running 15-17 minutes behind my projection 😡  presser increased.. 


Jumped to Reasoning, 

inequalities - easy, cracked it, Syllogism - easy to moderate, also cracked it, I/O - easy just to arrange numbers and words in ascending order, one puzzle about 7 books on seven days -easy solved it, one more puzzle about 8 ppl with 8 profession seating in a line - moderate...I solved considering them as seating in a circle,. 😱  O Boy O Boy.. how can I be silly at this stage -lost 4-5 marks and wasted 7-8 minutes (This could be a game changer for me), another puzzle - 8 ppl with 8 business seating around a circle - some facing south, some facing north - hard - solved it - 😇  some amount of relief. 

O God  😮  Only 50 minutes remaining - Still didn't touch a single question of inference-arguments, 😞  Left it...

est.attempt - 40, actual attempt - 34, est.time - 50 min, could spent around 35 mins.

Overall level rest easy-moderate, only hard puzzle with some north and some south.


Jumped to Data Interpretation

was little nervous, with only 45 mins remaining...

DI was not hard but just lengthy.. One having grip over percentage, ratio and good calculation speed can attempt 15+ correct in 50 mins..

2 graph wale, 1 table, 1 pie chart, 1 was paragraph based on set theory of around 25 line - Didn't bother to solve it,. rest didn't check,.

Descriptive part

1. letter to your friend whose son do excess use of computer and mobile games ( suggest him to read books and play outdoor games instead of playing mobile games)

2. essay on ' Are the Reality shows Real?'

3. essay on ' If I were prime minster, how would I improve banking condition

4. precise was on economy


Thing went wrong to me...

1. Did a silly mistake in puzzle - reasoning,. 2. for marketing I mugged up Arihant but of no use, 3. somewhere fall short in practice of puzzles, 4. Not having good background in english stopped me to solve RCs. 5. Didn't get a time to appear for online mocks due to job. 6. Did not have good material to practise all these...



By the way It was my experience,,.

But WISHING U ALL THE BEST WHO ARE YET TO GIVE EXAM...

Reasoning easy but bit lengthy attempted 37..

English easy attempted 38..

and then DI.. Attempted 10..

Overall attempt 123...

All Those having exams next week, please give some more time to DI as it will be lengthy involving complex calculations..
