Hello to all...
can any one provide me last years sbi so papers?

when i saw the last year's paper for Asst Manager (Systems) there were hardly any questions from Digital Circuits, Microprocessors or Computer Architecture..BUT...the syllabus in some of the guides states them as 'important sections' .. also in 2012 there was a separate paper for Asst Manager (Computer and Communications) [according to Mrunal.org]. For 'Computer and Communications' there were questions from these areas as expected. This year is there a separate post for Computer and Communications??? If not then can we expect questions from these sections for "Systems" exam based on the last years' trends ??? Somebody pls help. Thanks.

Anyone who is following this book

State Bank of India & Associates Specialist Officer Recruitment Exam 2014 : Success Master

Hi,

What will be total timing duration for this exam?

Section wise timing would be a great help for me to prepare.

I have seen Reasoning Logic(50 marks), Maths (35 marks) and English(35 Marks) consist of 120 questions (1 mark per qstn). and also the PK section ( 50 qstn of 120 marks).

Could you please tell me how I can manage timing for each section to clear the cut off and get good marks for PK.

1) Total timing

2) Section wise timing Skip

it completely depends on ur skills. i would suggest you to attend PK section first (max 15 min), then go to other sec.s give each section min of 30 min...

Junior Mgmt Scale Group I (JMSG-1) is equivalent to Bank PO. The salary will be around Rs.30,000 inclusive of everything(fuel, newspaper, house-rent etc). In cities like Delhi or Mumbai, it can go upto 35,000-40,000. If you are paying house-rent, then you may get 35,000-40,000. You will be on probation for 2 years. In those two years if you want to leave the job, then you have to pay bond amount of Rs.2 Lakhs. But you can apply for JM-2 within SBI without this bond issue. To move from JM-1 to JM-2, i.e. next level, it will five to seven years depending on your performance in both job and tests and additional certifications like JAIIB, CAIIB will make it happen faster within 4 years.

These jobs through IBPS and SBI (including Specialist OFficer) will be around for another 2 years and then they will become almost impossible. This is because almost all the banks were nationalised in 1970s. That is when almost all people currently in Banks entered their jobs. Now most of them are near 60years. So, maximum retirements are happening since 2011-2015. After that there will not be many bank po/so openings like now. Since 2011, almost 20,000-30,000 are being recruited.

The job profile of PO will be different from SO. PO is general services like account transactions, loan opening/closing etc. i.e..general bank services that you may have come across when you go to any bank.......But an SO's job is relatively limited. SO will have lots of free time, and will be working with companies like Infosys/Oracle to help setup new softwares for the banking system. There will not be much coding job because all the software will be bought from pvt companies, but SO has to have a general idea on how the system works and be in touch with the company that provides the software. Every SO will be have to monitor 5-6 branches in a locality. So whenever any software or system problem occurs, he/she has to help out the branch manager or staff though phone call or physical visit.

Whether PO or SO, there will be transfers every 3-5 years depending on the bank. There is no strict procedure regarding transfers. If you have acquaitances/uncles in the upper mgmt scale of your bank, then you may get favourable transfers. But be prepared for rural/urban postings.

can anyone help me to solve high level(PO level) seating arrangement problems...I always got stuck with that problems...please help me..........

@nideena
I am attaching a pdf of the solution steps.... try to solve it along with each step on a paper..... if you did not follow any step, let me know....

After this question, try to solve similar questions by making tables and matching/eliminating options..... Do 3-4 questions and you will be able to solve any such question 😃
