@ashishkv thanks a lot yaar for this awesome post chalo kisi ko to khyaal aaya rejected candidates ka mera ye first psu rejection tha an d i got disappointed a lot after result you have filled a new zeal in me thanks again and wish you a happy and successfull carreer and life
@texas921 my no was -6, and 1.5 in cylindrical.
got it done from delhi, visual aids centre.
see, in the process, they remove a layer from above ur chornea, do the laser operation and then replace the flap without any stitch. then, precautions are there to avoid any misplacement of that flap. it takes 30 mins for both eyes.
this flap removal and cutting is done
1) either manually, costing around Rs 35-45k
2) or by laser ray, that is called blade free lasik or I-lasik, costing about 90k
i went for I-lasik, as it was comparatively less harsh on eyes.
the after complications are almost negligible, but dryness occurs in eyes, so vision is foggy at times, and so they prescribe u lubricating eye drops.
u can see almost normally within 24 hours, but a crystal clear vision returns only after 3 months. they wont tell u this, and may be it varies from person to person, but this was my experience.
all in all, u shud go for it, it will bring u within eligibility criteria, within 2 days, without any pain and without much remarkable side effects. u'll feel good after the operation, as u wud be able to see clearly with ur own eyes....

@reetii said:@hi_guys why you want extension..?
i also want..becoz i am doing m.tech...is it possible?
Currently m working in INFOSYS...
here after resigning,,i have 2 stay 3 months..dat we cal NOTICE PERIOD..
EXTENSION is possible..
but one dis-advantage is dat,,u ll get late promotion in sail,,as compared to guys who all r in our batch..
so, i guess it wud b a bad idea..to take extension..
try to join @cost of ur M.tech..
bcz u may get 1 year late promotion..
so just think upon it..
nd take a bold decision..:)
