Sorry for my delayed response. I had not checked my account for a while.
I had applied to World Educational Services (WES) for one of my applications so sent the evaluation of my transcripts to rutgers as well. Apart from the third party evaluation (i.e WES) Rutgers also asked me for my college transcripts.

When did you submit the application ? Can you provide some insight into the type of questions you were asked in the interview. I have mine on monday. Any other info you can provide on Rutgers. I intend to specialize in finance, would Rutgers be a good choice for my career goals ?
Well I have an admit from CUNY Baruch FT Honors also. and UIUC is waitlist.
I submitted my application on 5th March and I got interviewed on 17th March and within 2 days I was notified.
Questions were simple:
What is the best part bout ur job and the thing u like the least?
If your friends were to describe you and tell me three things bout you, what would they be?
Have you every given any out of the box solutions at work?
Why mba in america?
Why Rutgers?
Which other schools?
There were other questions also but I dont recall. Its pretty simple and one of my best interviews.
Rutgers is a good school but I cant comment on how good/bad it is for Finance. its best you connect with ex-students n current students n ask them quesions

What a coincidence, even I am waitlisted at UIUC and it is my most preferred option now after the snub from BU. Have you made any progress on UIUC, intend on taking it if they offer admission?
Its good to know Rutgers responded quickly after the interview. I wish the same happened to me two weeks earlier. I also have an admit from Thunderbird and since it was the best option I had, I had to pay the deposit money. So dont know which to choose between Thunderbird and Rutgers, if the latter also offers admit
Would you have any comments on helping me choose between Tbird and Rutgers, I dont have any inside news on Rutgers but my friend studies in Tbird, so have some help there.

Im planning to send 2 recommendations to strengthen my application... Im not raising my hopes for UIUC though.. its a super aspirational school..
Well, Rutgers has a good rep back in India n im sure thunderbird also...
But isnt thunderbird too expensive?? thunderbird is good for internationla business courses.

I received admit from Rutgers as well. Still awaiting response from UIUC, any progress at your end ?
I have to decide between Rutgers and Tbird if UIUC rejects me, which by the looks of their delay in response seems to be the case.
Do you know anyone in Rutgers. What will be the expense over there, any amount/figure that is available. Rutgers asked us to declare 50700USD for first year but i dont think the expenses will be that high.
Thunderbird course fee has increased so i have to compare the two options. Awaiting your response.

Rutgers fees is 35000 per year. And you count bout 15000 (including entertainment) so you have to keep a budget of 50,000 to 51,000 for Rutgers.
I personally feel thunderbird is over hyped. It is expensive and located in Arozona which is a negative point. Rutgers is in New Jersey and its close to NYC so you can go for career fairs in the city without much travelling..
UIUC is pretty difficult. What is your profile/? People with 680-700 have been put on waitlist. So there are no chances for me.
I am not taking up Rutgers as I have been admitted to CUNY Baruch FT Honors which is located in Manhattan plus its cost effective.

Even I feel with the delay in response they might ding me. Have sent out a follow up mail today, lets see if they reply. In my last query they said they will reply by end of april. Without scheduling for an interview,i think this will be another reject 😞

Though your GMAT and Toefl are a little on a lower side I feel you have good chance with your profile of 4.3 yrs of experience and your extra curricular activities.
But as a matter of fact RBS looks at diversity of its class so, it comes out to in what industry u had 4.3 yrs of exp.

Hi ! UnniV ! I am not studying at Rutgers, however, I had applied there last year and did get an admit, but I chose a different school. My research last year suggested Rutgers to be strong in terms of health care specialization and also finance due to its location being close to New York (Wall Street). Hope this helps. Good Luck !
