How can you calculate your Percentile Rank in your colour code paper?
Percentile Rank can also be calculated approximately as : My Percentile Rank in my colour paper = {[(Total no. of Students in ur colour) - (My Rank in my colour)] / (Total no. of Students in ur colour-1)} X 100
(Important=competition is in between ur colour paper code only, dont compare ur marks with other colour codes....)
by the way it calculates for each colour paper which decides the students qualify from each colour code.Depending on the number of vacancies Cut Off Percentile Rank varying from (0-100%). The result shows that top students from each colour paper and the least ones percentage is the percentile cut off mark.
Conclusion
1. Don't be anxious or happy if the paper was easy or tough - scores will be corrected and normailsed accross different colours and department. 2.If You did well in ur colour paper, wait for the results and hope they are good, even otherwise life gives you a second chance.
