my personal experience of je exam held on 14/12/14,first of all i have recieved my question paper 10 mins late after the commencement of the exam,i can try my best ,each and every question i hv marked i thought about 2 to 3 times,i was very aware bcoz i knw there is no whitener allowed on omr,I have skipped some very easy GK questions for which i have known very much just bcoz of careness, afterall i have done my job attempted only 112 as I mention earlier i got my paper 10 min late bcoz of invigilators mis management ,after leaving exam center i thought that i hv done every ans accurately after one hour when i was at home i realized that 3 of mine anss are wrong, after one day i realized 6 of mine were wrong ,before sse exam i found 101 anss marked by me were absolutly right ,after matching with official rrb bangalore key my 97 anss are right and now after deducting 15 wrong ans,i am at 92 marks score..that's my experience in rrb je exam ,i am from eee branch ,zone allahabad, share urs ,keep smiling:)
Puyzz what is your opinion: I was going through the different sets and found that if in one set quantitative was tough then in other set GK was tough, while remaining questions were of similar standard. Then in that case I think, normalization if done, will not affect much in the 'normalised' score. If it is going to have effect (in the worst situation), then I don't think it will affect our marks more than (+/-) 5 marks.
I checked rrb mumbai website & here is what i found...
2010 (both je &sse) result took more than 2 yrs to come out whereas result for 2008 took little more than a year.(why the fnkg delay?)
A senior also told me: rrb mum hamesha late result lagata hai, but this time the ministry has changed so maybe result jaldi lagwade ......What do you think guys? plzz comment
Recently I talked with a Senior Section Engineer(mech) currently posted in Assansol of Eastern Railway. He told me that in 2012 cutoff for mechanical general category from RRB Kolkata was 76-78 & this year it will be +/-5 only.He told me that normalization is surely done but how its going to affect ur marks is a secret. He also told that only the top scores have best chances of getting selected for SSE,merely crossing the cutoff isnt enough. This year there are total 54 seats for mech(UR) in RRB Kolkata.
