Hi everyone I am retaking the gmat..i scored 540(q 35 v 29) in my first gmat attempt on 14 may 2012.. i studied well and performed decently in my GMAT prep exams..I scored 700 in one and 680 in another.Another thing I noted as the level of questions in Maths.Coming from an engineering background quant was never a problem..infact i have always score above 45 in all my mocks..dont know what went wrong in the test

Anyhow I am going to retake it soon..preferably in a month's time..Can you all please suggest some good GMAT books to study from besides the OG..coz i almost remember all the questions and their answers..

I am going through Manhattan GMAT books presently..My critical reading is not very strong.so guys your help on the kind of books for each of the sections is extremely valuable..

Awaiting your reply..

Manhattan GMAT guides are great for Quant and Verbal fundamentals. Study MGMAT guides along with OG questions as mentioned at the end of each chapter. This will take not more than 15 days. Then do kaplan Premier.
For practicing CR problems, check out 1000CR. Also get a copy of Princeton 1012. It has good practice poblems.

Get your basics right.Move to other material only if you are comfortable with OG level.Manhattan is a good option.Take as much mock CATs as you can to know your painful areas.(MGMATs are highly recommended)Do not forget GMAT comes with additional IR section now.So start researching about it in the forums, blogs etc.
All the best!!!
