i need help in deciding for an MBA, i have actually completed my b-tech in computer engineering from NIT jaipur in may,2011, i am basically a citizen of nepal. currently i am working with sapient global markets in gurgaon as a developer where it's been 6 months now, i want to pursue mba. i want to apply to the good indian colleges as well as outside india,
please tell me how should i start with ..if work ex is so important ..should i continue with my job for another year or two and accordingly prepare for gmat or should i start my gmat prep from now on.

you can start preparing for GMAT right now and start applying next year when you have around 1.5 to 2 years experience. Various international b-schools need young people too.

I recommend you work for a minimum of 3 years before starting on your MBA app i.e apply after May 2014 as this will allow you to have around 4 year exp min by the time u join any good B school... of course if you are interested in IIM's program, then start prep for cat and apply during the next cycle...
Also you happen to be in the dreaded IT Male group, so work on developing a good list of activities outside your work.. these have a dual edged sword, they not only build great credential but also provide some great stories to write in your MBA App... Also do work hard on your job and get some quick promotions as they will have a great impact during your application review stages by various MBA colleges... Get done with ur gmat in another 3-4 months as you are still fresh from college
Finally, just relax and enjoy ur life as MBA is not the only means for success and you may find your passion elsewhere along the way...:):)

i am planning to get done with my gmat in another 3 to 4 mnths .. and den may be end of 2013 or 2014 i shall apply with my gmat scores to B-schools.
i am presently working with the global markets project ...where business and trading is the domain, but i have a technical role to play , will that help anyways
??? i want to go for risk management.. and can u pls suggest me the best institutes for the same that i can later on target..

i'll most probably appear for gmat in the next 3 to 4 mnths and later towards the end of 2013 0r begiining of 2014 i shall apply for the collleges..
i just wanted to know that presently i am working with the business domain, i mean i am with projects that deals with energy trading.. but i have a technical role to play.. will that help anyways ??? i have a knack for risk management , nd want to go for it.
please suggest me some reallly good institutes which i can target later!!
