Guys, last year they declared DEPR/DSIM results after one month of interviews, why they have taken so much of time ? Interviews finish at max by 01:30PM, for DEPR 53 candidates final list can be prepared quickly and major bunch of candidates belongs to Generalist post for which they already have result ready with them . Also given the fact that RBI is very quick in declaration of results. I hope next Sunday we will have some peace from RBI. Possible Result date?

Me: (after pausing for a second and then replied with conviction) Yeas Sir three.

C: Ok, Chandra Prakash, don’t you think you are better utilised in BSNL looking at the amount of time you invested in studying engineering.
Me: Yes Sir, but I also do lot of administrative work, record keeping, budgeting and other managerial works.
C: But how exactly you will be useful here in banking sector / RBI ?
Me: Sir, as you all know, for past 5 to 10 years banking sector is being merging with IT & Telecom sector & ICT is providing the much needed support to the banking sector.
C: (cutting me in the middle) You mean you can provide us the technology.
Me: Yes Sir.
C: But what about economics?
Me: Sir, I may not be having practical experience in economics but I do posses theoretical knowledge in it and that’s how I am able to clear this exam.
C: Ok, then tell me about the recent trends of Indian economy.
Me: Sir, India is the 7th biggest economy of the world and 2nd in terms of purchasing power parity
C: (Cutting me in the middle) No no, tell me about the recent trend of growth of Indian economy.
Me: (with confusion) Sir, among the large economies, India is the fastest growing country after China.
C: No, tell me about the RECENT TREND, what is the growth trend, is it growing up or falling down.
Me: Sir, growth has been fallen down in the previous quarter.
C: Only in the previous quarter and before that.

L1: What is e-Governance?
Me: Sir, providing various services especially public services, grievance redressal, collecting feedbacks and other data through web portals or mobile apps to the citizens online
L1: Only to citizens?
Me: It also covers B2B?
L1: Yes B2B, can you provide an example.
Me: A good example is procuring materials from e-commerce.
L1: What is IoT, Internet of Things ?
Me: Sir, in IoT, various physical entities with embedded electronics device communicate with each other via internet to provide desired service. A perfect example of Internet of Things is OLA Cab. (explained a little more in details)
C: (jumped in the middle) Does involvement of internet is necessary? If we use intranet, can we call it IoT?
Me: Yes Sir, a good example of this is home automation and it comes under IoT. Sir, Actually internet itself is a network of small intranets.
C: And it does not uses ip protocol, it uses ethernet.
Me: Yes Sir then too.
C: Does ethernet is based on ip protocol.
Me: Yes Sir, ethernet is based on ip protocol.
L2: Recently, Sovereign Gold Bonds was in news, what was that ?
Me: Yes Sir, RBI has announced 3rd tranch of Sovereign Gold Bonds recently.
L2: Yes, but what is special about it? Does RBI has done some changes this time?
Me: Yes Sir, First major change was that previously the buying window use to open for a week only but this time it has been extended from October to December. So this time its kind of on tap this time.
L2: It’s not on tap. But anyway can think of any reason behind this change.
Me: Sir, government want to utilise the festival season of Diwali and Christmas.
L2: Right, what are the other changes.
Me: Sir, this time buying limit has been increased from 500g to 4kg for an individual and 20kg for a firm.
L2: Reason?
Me: To attract high net worth individuals.
L2: What about interest rate? Has it been changed?
Me: No Sir. No change in interest rate.
L2: Are you sure. I think it has done some changes in interest rate also.
Me: Sir it is still 2.5%. There is a discount of Rs.50 per gram on online purchase this time but no change in the interest change.
L2: Ok, leave it. What was the objective of this scheme.
Me: To curb the import of Gold because it directly hurt our economy. It increases our current account deficit.
L2: So, has this scheme been successful. What was the initial target and how much it had achieved.
Me: Target was to monetise 20,000 tons of domestic gold…
L2: Target was in tons ?
Me: (I realised my mistake) Sorry sir, it was Gold monetisation. I don’t know the target exactly. But its has achieved almost 50 %.
R1: (reading from the biodata) You have mentioned here that you maintain optical fibre cable route. What are the difficulties / challenges faced by you.
Me: Sir first challenge is to find the way, as various existing utilities like water pipelines and other private network cable does not get damaged. Second, major difficulty we are facing for past few years is that the development works like road expansion and other digging work has been increased a lot causing greater fault rates.
R1: Recently, does any project given by the government to BSNL related to it.
Me: Yes Sir, there are two major projects: First one is BHART NET, under which BSNL has to provide wifi facility in 2.5 Lakh villages which include laying optical fibre cable and also installing wifi equipment.
R1: How much time it take to complete?
Me: By 2019. Most of the villages are already connected via optical fibre. (stopping in the middle of next question) Sir, there is another project of Defence in which the defence bases all over the country will be connected by optical fibre cable and this project is also being implemented under the supervision of BSNL.
R1: But why the penetration of telecom is still so much lower.
Me: Sir, it is not. In fact penetration is more than even railways.
R1: Come on, railways penetration will obviously be lesser.
Me: Ok it is much greater compare to even banks, that’s why banking sector want to tap telecom penetration for financial inclusion.
R1: What is Payments Bank?
Me: (Answered)
R1: Does any telecom company was given licence for it.
Me: Yes Sir, Airtel Money has started working as payment bank this year.
R2: How will you provide connectivity to banks.
Me: Madam, since banks need a secure and robust connectivity, we provided a dedicated media path completely dedicated to one particular branch called leased line.
R2: What kind of media will be best for it.
Me: For long distance, optical fibre is the best as it is secure and…
C: (Intervened) She mean last mile.
Me: For last mile we use simple ug cable or loop wire over head.
R2: What is the speed / bandwidth.
Me: Madam, recently we have even reached up to 100Gbps (stressing on 100Gbps with boast) so we can provide upto 100Gbps depending upon the requirement or equipment installed in the bank but generally 100kbps is sufficient.
R2: Does any other rival companies also provide this leased lines to banks.
Me: Yes, madam Airtel and Idea also provide it but BSNL is the largest provider of leased line to the public sector banks.
R2: Which other company is closest to BSNL.
Me: Airtel is the closest rival especially in city areas.
R2: and Reliance communication
Me: No madam, no way near to us.

@sanchitg as per latest info one of the agriculture economics candidate was interviewed today, as per his remarks all the interviews will over by tomorrow.since RBI must have issued call letter to all agriculture people all together. Also RBI won't conduct interviews on Saturday. Any comments???
