my attempts..
reasoning 31
qa 22
eng-19
ga 40
I dont know i will be in or not, Ga section wll decide it for me..
short n wise words...
dont predict n depend on expected cutoffs, just start ur phase 2 study from today only as 13 days left, results wll decide whether u hv to continue it or not:-)
WHO KNOWS U WLL WIN THE RACE OR NOT BUT AT LEAST START IT AND BE IN IT..
people are predicting reasoning cutoff to be 20 or above in many cases on fb or in pg,but I remember the 2014 paper reasoning was easy and yet the cutoff was just 24.so going by paper standards and reduced time,it shouldnt go above 14-15.however my analysis can be wrong.i also read a post here on this thread where it was written that rbi maintains the same ratio of cutoff in all groups.but last year only reasoning and gk had same ratio, because english and quants had different ratio.last year cutoffs were 36,27,14 and 14.
Hi All
I gave RBI first time without any extra preparation,as i was preparing for IBPS...................following are my doubt now..............
1.As UR seat are only 67 then how many will be selected for Phase-II??
2.Weight age of each section is same or diff,i mean 1 for right and 0.25 for wrong????????????
Since they made the Phase 2 "online" from this year, and since there is no need for physically correcting each paper, dont you think they will increase the number of ppl passing Phase 1? Maybe from last year 2000 to around 4000? Since there are no logistic issues this time?
GA 47
QA 8
Reasoning 22
Eng 22
Cat OBC
Though it's OK in others but QA sectional clearance is doubtful.
For All, Last Year Phase 1 Cut offs:
Gen OBC SC ST PWD
GA 32 28 26 26 26
ENG 12 10 9 9 9
QA 12 10 9 9 9
Reas 24 21 19 19 19
Total 104 94 89 69 69
Chances are The OBC Cut offs of last year and Gen Cut offs of this year will be same.
This year, cutoffs may look as
Gen OBC SC ST PWD

ENG 12 10 9 9 9

people who were searching for socio books apart from ncert, can check this one by R Ahuja,it has been updated till 2013 I think.chapters like urbanisation etc which are in rbi syllabus, are written properly in this book.
@maverickSubu this is the book i will be reading for phase 2.I found it yesterday. one more suggestion, incase u are ordering this book online, then dont use flipkart, they have become extremely slow atleast outside the major cities, and we have limited time.these are just my suggestions, dont fail to apply your own wisdom and commonsense on any topic, since I am just a fellow coaspirant like u all.all the best for phase 2 :-)

Any chance for phase 2
My take on Cutoffs:
GK 35
LR 15
Q 9
E 11
Total about 90 ish.
And we thought that Mocks were difficult 😃
How did my Sunday go.
Well, I met a guy at 12:15 and he told me that the exam was pretty difficult. He hinted me that it was difficult in quant and LR and even in Eng, although GK was easy.
My Experience:
1) I began the exam and found GK to be staightforward, just like other IBPS exam. Even by stretching my guesses I did only 53 as I found my General Knowledge to be pretty average. Got over with GK in 20 min. flat.
2) English: Began with Eng, found correct/incorrect to be very tricky, but I still think I got it all correct, found fill in the blacks to be easy again with an exception or two. Found Parajumble to be average and doable. Found Passage to the medium as it required one to read carefully. Ended up spending 30 min, due to time wasted in Parajumble(I used to leave it in mocks 😃 ).Overall assessment: It was more on the medium-easy(**)
3) Quant(supposedly my strength area 😃 ). Well I was trembling in fear as I went through it, it was nerve wrenching, more so because compared to mocks, the question take twice even thrice to solve. So it breaks you mentally. I could barely solve 6-7 in about 25 min, before I realised I had only 45 min. left and I had not seen LR.
4) LR- By this time I was shaking because of the intense AC and the pressure. I am pretty bad at conclusion/assumption/other single sort of questions of LR which either kill time(DS) or don't come with a guarantee; but I also knew by others' experience that puzzles were undoable. So I started scavenging. Felt like a beggar. I was scrapping whatever I could - Inequalities(5-6), Syllogism(5), Coding-Decoding(5), but then nothing was left to do. I had 20 min. left. So I took a call to do 1 set of LR, it clicked and I did the easiest puzzle and had done about 23 questions in LR, which was decent enough, since these are 100% bets unlike DS or Conclusion types. I spent only 33 min, in LR ( it is not my strength area)
5) I had about 12 min. With barely 7 questions done in quant I went in again. This time doing a DI set and a few questions here and there. I ended up doing a Pie Chart set (5), 2 easy questions on Series, 2 single questions, and another DI set (4), in the end doing about 13 questions in freaking 37 min [Can't say what went wrong, may be I was touchy about being aggressive in quant when the need of the hours was to bow down]
Final attempt [53, 28, 23, 13 = 117 ]
Going by the insane mindset IBPS is struggling with this year, I feel they may do some stupidity with higher cut offs for GA to balance Quant/Reasoning part. Let's hope for the best.
