It's all good when you want to upgrade test taking method to modern ways.. Switching from paper to computer.. But you should first have the infrastructure right ? In my home, during mocks I could shift between sections and questions with no lag but in the hall it takes 4 secs lag to select a option and another 5 secs lag if you want to change it.. Changing between sections and skimming through questions was a nightmare... Easily 8-10 mins wasted due to computer  lag... In a exam where time is gold, I think that's game changing... Oh well...!

so guys...done with phase 1!!!

now it does not matter what you did, how many questions you marked, weather you will meet the cut off or not......what matters now is how you will tackle phase 2(just 15 days left) this year or in worst case next year....but it is for sure that you will handle mains, if you have given this as your serious attempt....so lets start off our preparation for the next phase :)

lets discuss questions , doubts, issues, scenarios....let us have fruitful discussions with feedback....so i hope that from tomorrow we will start this thing and prepare ourselves for the big battle.... good luck

what can be said about this ?

For all those who may eventually clear, Congratulations and best of luck for phase 2. And for people f*cked over by Quant and LR (I know the feeling) Hard Luck. Don't worry. I sincerely hope you find success in your future endeavours!

My attempts:

GK 65 ..... expected score around 40-50

Eng 30...... expected score 20-25

Quant 17......expected score 10-15

LR 37.......expected score around 30-35

Total 150 attempts. Expected score 100-125.

🍻 🍻

P.S. Bs Quant ka chakkar h, otherwise to hopefully clear ho jaaega.

After both the sessions, Most Possible cut Offs for unreserved Candidates ( Considering the Toughness level of 2015 phase 1 compared to 2013 and 2014 phase 1 exams):

GK: 28 (35%)

REAS: 21 (35%)

QUANT:11 (35%)

ENG: 11(35%)

Yes, RBI does apply equal percentage of cut offs in all sections.

TOTAL 90-95

Those who are hopeful of getting more than these sectionals as well as total cutoffs must go ahead for Phase 2 prep. For rest ( including me it's " Better luck Next year: RBI GR B 2016")

P.S:  I cleared both 2013( score 136) and 2014(score 124) Phase 1 with good margin.

I really do not understand what is brouhaha over paper being tough. It is a competitive exam. Top 2100 -2700 candidates who will advance to Phase 2 will remain almost the same , irrespective of toughness and cut off.

Had paper been easy last of them might have scored 130+, paper being difficult last of them will score maybe 90+/-5 marks.

I have seen QA cutoff as 5, and GA cutoff as 13 in this paper. Even in 2011 QA was 6 or 8. It is only that in last  three years, paper had become easy. On other hand cutoffs have been in 20s also in last three years.

But does that mean that different people get selected when paper is easy or difficult? Maybe 10%. Rest 90% will remain the same irrespective of level of toughness.

GA 58 sure about 40-45
