when will be the next time rbi exam is going to be conducted....
i didn't applied for 18th december exam....
kindly throw some light on it...if possible...

Amidst this talk about RBI being recruiting from elite B-schools, I would like to share some information which I received from a senior RBI employee.
Yes, RBI has started recruiting from some B-schools and the names has rightfully being mentioned in the previous posts. Apart from the B-schools RBI also visited IIT Kanpur last year and selected 2 students(UGs). For now, it seems that they will choose more colleges(B-school as well as IITs and peers) for recruitment.
As per the news for now RBI has decided to adopt different policies for treatment of directly recruited and Grade-B exam qualifying officers. The difference will be in terms of compensation and facilities offered. Those qualifying the Grade B exam will receive lower base salaries but all the facilities(housing, scholarship, food allowance, vehicle allowance etc.) will be offered to them separately.
As for the college recruitment they will offer the compensation given on campus as the complete in-hand salary and apart from that only food coupons will be provided to these officers.
Apart from this difference there is no news of any other differential treatment.
I hope this will clear some air.

Did u ask the reason for this differential treatment? U mean MBA guys will never get the accomodtion facility provided by RBI?

Date are not fixed even month is also...
As you see from last yr, last to last time , exam is conducted in differnt months...
nothing is fixed...
vacancies generally ~100.(70-80 from exam rest are through direct campus.)
See RBI website after sept...(generally)...
what is the source for this claim of differential salary structure for students selected thru campus placement and thru the exam?.....coz i dont read it anywere.

It is highly unlikely tat MBAs will nt get accommodation and all , as it is a transfer job(every 5 years) so it will be a hard time searching accommodation in every new state , one is transferred to

i think all this talk are just rumours....would request a person from a b school having sufficient knowledge on this issue to comment and clear the air

The bank is following the reasoning that ultimately you are working on the same package. As the students who get through college placements are offered the complete package as salary in-hand it doesn't seem to be unfair.
Also IMHO clearing RBI grade B and getting into a good B-School are two different ball games. So this seems to be fair.

Is this only from this year?....coz i spoke to an MBA alumni who was recruited last year....he said no such salary structure for them.

Logically , It cant happen this year as when they visited the campus for pre-placement talk this year they talked about the various benefits given to employees . And they never talked about all-cash thing .
Can someone upload the 2011 RBI grade B aptitude paper held in December..even if it is difficult to upload the entire paper , in that case do upload the Quants and GA section only...would be of great help.....thanks....

NO one exactly know..
As there is now clear cut dates of procedure...
Every year they take different time interval...also conduct of process in different period of year.....

I actually don't see it as fair or unfair as things remain same more or less.
For e.g. In a city like Delhi accommodation in a descent place (which most of the RBI resident quarters are) will cost around 15k-20k.It straight away brings down your in-hand salary considerably.And that's just one component.Add to it the monetary value of other deprived components and things will be on equal footing.
It will give students just an option on how they want to spend it plus submitting installments of their sky-rocketing b-school fees 😛
(Above reasoning is only valid if talks about differential pay structure is valid :D)
Secondly,every exam has its own constraints that includes both grade-b and b-school entrances.For e.g. Its an exam having just 70-75 seats for which around 1.5 lac people compete in an open competition over three rounds with one of them being subjective writing and that too spread over a period of around a year.
I am not saying that its easy to get into a good b-school but just stating a fact that comparison is totally misplaced.

5. SERVICE CONDITIONS / CAREER PROSPECTS:
(i) Pay Scale:
Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs.21,000/- p.m. in the scale of Rs.21000-1000-30000-EB-1000-32000-1100-36400 applicable to Officers in Grade B and they will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments to direct recruit Grade B Officers are approximately Rs.38,853/-.
(ii) Perquisites:
Bank's accommodation subject to availability, reimbursement of expenses for maintenance of vehicle for official purpose, newspaper, telephone charges, book grant, allowance for furnishing of residence, etc. as per eligibility. Free dispensary facility besides reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalization as per eligibility. Interest free festival advance, Leave Fare Concession (once in two years for self, spouse and eligible dependents). Loans and Advances at concessional rates of interest for Housing, Car, Education, Consumer Articles, Personal Computer, etc. The posts also carry benefits of Provident Fund, Pension and Gratuity. Total pay and allowances along with admissible perquisites attached to the post considering market value of housing in Mumbai work out at the minimum of Rs10.00 lakhs p.a. (approx.) on a cost to the Bank basis.
NOTE: For candidates possessing very high academic or professional qualification/ experience of significant value to the Bank, the Bank may, at its sole discretion, consider granting up to four advance increments. The Board, at the sole discretion, will consider requests for higher emoluments on account of higher qualification/special experience of value to the Bank at the interview stage only. Such information may be furnished in the Bio-data form in the appropriate column. The number of maximum increments will be 4. The Board/Bank will not entertain any request received after the interview.
(iii) At certain centres, limited number of residential quarters are available. Facility for securing residential accommodation on lease, however, exists at all centres.
(iv) Initial appointment will be on probation for a period of two years which may, at Bank's discretion, be extended upto a maximum period of fouryears.
(v) There are reasonable prospects for promotion to higher grades.
(vi) Selected candidates are liable to be posted and transferred anywhere in India.
there will be increase of 1000 in basic every year.
from above bold line, salary may be different for different candidates....
It answers the B-school and other salary difference....
