LifeAtCrossroad SaysHi Guys, can someone tell me what are the exit options for this job? I mean, suppose one gets qualified for this job. After working for a couple of years, will there be any opportunities in the corporate firms? Any other options ? Info plzz.. TIA

kumarsaurav9539 SaysI guess yes. Having some experience in RBI is enough for anyone to get in any financial firm anywhere in the world. But yes, MNCs normally hire by on-campus placements only and not in any off-campus recruitment process. Even then I don't think that there wud be any problem in getting into firms like HSBC, citibank etc. after having 3-4 years experience of RBI. There must be some way other than on campus placements to get in these. Baad ki baad me dekhenge yaar. Rite now we need to focus only on getting into RBI.
rushikesh90 Saysarey yar experienced people can always apply through MNC websites, and depending on your resume they will think about you.If you get referal then much more easy to get job..so dont think of future ..abhi exam aa rhi hai ..bas prepare well and do well..

ankitkg Saysthanks bro. it really sounds good. but i doubt how fast will the growth be? i'm actually confused between going for an mba in finance from some good colleges like IIFT Delhi and IIM Indore and a job in RBI grade B.lots of things to consider. RBI will give me a settled life already. mba would need lots of expenses and 2 years of rigorous studying and a good and challenging after mba life. I can't decide. anyways what after the 2 years training period? there will be an appraisal na? the 40k thing you talked about is in the training period na?

Hello ,
i went through the whole thread...the flow of the previous batch has been sadly interrupted..
so kindly, whoever has attended the INTERVIEW..post your experience..it will help many of us here!
and finally when did u guy join after completing all these procedures...? i saw someone had posted that the results were out on 25th nov 2011 and ya..the WE had held on 6th feb 2011. After that what happens we dont know..
it will be nice if somebody gives us the full picture?
like -> interview experiences
-> date of joining
-> Most importantly, (if you have joined) about the job
Oh man, the process is awfully long and tedious :(
Thanks.
do people from IIM's also apply for RBI grade-B officer????

It all depends on what role you want to play in your career..
I mean you can get hefty paypackets in IIMs in very big MNCs but RBI is something different..
The governor of RBI is an IAS..he could easily leave his job and can go for normal administrative work(Earning huge black money)..but the learning associated with RBI is tremendous. If someone has a passion for Indian Economics,I think he will leave even double the salary for RBI.That's my view on this. so being from IIMs or from any college doesn't matter..your passion matters!!
it would be shameful if an IIM guys appear for this exam, both for government and for the guy who is doing it, at first if he want to become a grade b officer , he should not occupy a seat at such a premium institute, where managing a seat is so hard and many students are preparing for it so badly, and again government should recruit these students to a higher position instead of picking them through exams like this and from a level as low as grade b..still these are my views..
anyway another day counting with no admit card ..and its worrying me a lot..

Is there any information about how many candidates applied for this post in past?
Hi, could you tell me more about the negative marking scheme.
